The staff was amazing and the location is great. You can feel that the property is older. The room was not as clean as expected and there were visible signs that it needs TLC. There was an odor coming from the sink drain. There's only one ice machine on the floor and it was broken.
I regret paying the "luxury" price tag of the room since you truly don't get that feel at this property.

Came to Dallas for a wedding. While the hotel is a nice facility, it has its issues. They do not do breakfast (nor lunch) room service. They only do dinner room service. My wife and I love breakfast room service. Ok fine .. went down and got coffee service from the Knife restaurant. The hostess apparently does seating only ... Literally nothing else. The waitress was super nice taking the order. But, she did not get the order exactly right so I came right back to correct it. The hostess was again powerless to do anything, the waitress was busy with a table (ok fine I get it), I had to wait another 5 minutes for the hostess to get the attention of the manager to get me extra cream for the coffee ... Extra cream took a manager's assistance. Really ?! Ok a little frustrating but got through it ... Back up to room and pour the coffee and it is terrible as it was basically burnt. A high end steak place with an extensive and expensive wine list from all over the place apparently does not know how to make a good cup of coffee ... And the hostess is powerless (not her fault though .. she was very nice attempting to help.)

(Translated by Google) The hotel is located in a convenient location, close to restaurants, classic style lobby, beautifully decorated rooms, reasonable price.

This review is pertaining to The Spa at the Highland. I have been a member for over a year. It used to be a very pleasant experience. The receptionist, Morgan, and their massage therapists, Whitney and Margaret, were the best people ever. It stopped being pleasant when they hired a new front desk assistant, Suzanne. Suzanne has been extremely rude and disrespectful. During a recent conversation we had, I was looking for clarification on a statement she made. Instead of actually listening to the question I was asking her, she chose to use that time to insult my intelligence by insinuating that I was unaware of what a synonym means. For the record, I have a Bachelor's degree in English from Texas A&M University in College Station, so her statement was not needed. On another day, I treated my 65 year old mother to a spa day, and she was unpleasant to my mother as well. I am canceling my membership because no one should be treated that way.
