I don't think the online system communicates with the staff or vice versa. What you will see on your end may differ with what is on Dogtopia's system.
The staff is nice, but front office staff always seem clueless. This time the young girl didn't know how to print off the charges before I paid them, so I could double check. She handed me a pen and paper and we went over them manually. She was nice. But seems to have been set up for failure in training or just lacked the knowledge. This was my experience with another front office staff, many months prior.
My two dog's pillow and two blankets were given back to me and they smelled like urine, A LOT of urine. I wonder how long my dogs, in the 6 days I left them there, had to sleep on these. They were disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. And I paid almost $800.00 for the total cost. I had scheduled the grooming & spa for both dogs on the 15th, so I could pick them up early on the 16th. I called on the 15th towards the end of the day to double check they were ready to go the next morning and they had not been. Nor did it show in the system that they were suppose to get that done. However, I have my confirmation emails from weeks prior saying the appt's were received and scheduled. I have all of the boarding and spa confirmation emails weeks prior. So...I had to tell them please make my dogs first in the spa line on the 16th. I asked to be called when they were done. That didn't happen. So around 2:30pm I called to see if they were ready to go. I was told, "oh yeah, they finished early, they've been ready. They're playing now". Then I promptly drove up there to get them and was told that "one was not ready" and waited about 25 or so minutes. What the heck is going on here?
This was my 4th time trusting Dogtopia Park Lane in Dallas and 3 of the times were difficult. I'd love to continue to use them but just can't. Important staff seem to be clueless in my experience, OR it's the system-which I brought to their attention the last time. And its smells. Again, the blankets and pillow given back to me were disgusting. How dare my dogs be made to sleep with those repeatedly. I can't recommend at all. Oh, and many times I've emailed to get a progress report or ask questions, and never heard back from them. You cannot rely on them or the online platform.
And look at their responses to the negative reviews below. Of course you "don't find any records". haha! My point proven. ;)
I would like to say Aubrey, the groomer is AMAZING. She is absolutely talented and communicative. Aubrey, you should open your own grooming business.

Upon dropping off my dog for grooming, I was dismayed by the lack of communication from the new groomer assigned to my pet. My usual groomer Aubrey was out on leave. Despite my attempts to ensure clear instructions for the grooming cut, there was no dialogue, leaving me uneasy about the process. Furthermore, the grooming appointment, scheduled for 10 a.m., was egregiously delayed, not commencing until sometime around 2 or 3 p.m. as I was checking in on the Nest cameras.
At 3:21 p.m., I received a call from Nathan, the supposed franchise owner and manager, alerting me that my dog had sustained an injury described as a "hole in his leg," allegedly from being nipped. However, moments later, at 3:25 p.m., they changed their story, suggesting my dog may have been bitten by a tick or burrowing bug, downplaying the severity and dismissing the need for veterinary attention.
Despite my concerns, the staff assured me my dog was fine, dissuading me from leaving work to attend to his potential medical needs. However, the next morning, I scheduled an appointment and my veterinarian confirmed that my dog had indeed been bitten by another dog, requiring antibiotics and a vet visit totaling $300.
In my attempts to address the situation with Nathan, I was met with inadequate solutions. Despite offering a refund for grooming and daycare fees, Dogtopia Park Lane failed to take responsibility for the negligence and lack of supervision that led to my dog's injury. Moreover, their refusal to disclose video footage, citing privacy concerns, further highlights their unwillingness to be transparent and accountable.
Nathan suggested I could bring Luca in free of charge which is completely baffling considering I would NEVER leave my dog under their care again considering they cant even account for what happened to my dog under their supervision. For me, the most concerning aspect of this ordeal is the establishment's claim of ignorance regarding the incident's timing and the identity of the other dog involved. This lack of awareness and failure to track such critical details raise serious doubts about Dogtopia Park Lane's commitment to the safety and well-being of all pets under their care. How does an establishment who has several employees and cameras miss my dog being bitten by another dog? My dog is timid in nature and doesnt engage in play with other dogs.
I implore pet owners to exercise caution and reconsider entrusting Dogtopia Park Lane with the well-being of their animals. The disregard for safety and accountability demonstrated by this establishment should not be overlooked, and action must be taken to ensure the welfare of all pets under their care.
