The higher up you work in this company, the better your experience will be(hence the positive reviews). I’ve been worked by this company for over a year and a half now(still currently an employee), and when I first came to DECA I expected certain things. When the pandemic hit, and being worked through the pandemic, I expected certain things. A year and a half later, and I’ve learned not to expect much. I was seen as an “essential worker,†during the pandemic, but I think DECA’s view of an essential worker is someone willing to do the work of many only to be paid pennies. When you’re a lower level employee don’t expect any thanks or recognition for the work you do. Here, you don’t exist until something goes wrong, and they need to point a finger at someone. When you’re an entry level employee at DECA expect a new task to be added to your job description every single day, but for the pay never to increase with the added responsibility. If you dare to ask for the pay increase you deserve, expect to be patronized; first with the mentions of how appreciated you are for being a “team player,†and “doing your part,†then with talks of a potential raise or bonus. Raises and bonuses are talked about(mostly when we’re asking where the hell they’re at), but talk is all it ever will be. While 90% of your job will be repairing the relationships between the offices and guests, in order to keep a disgruntled guest from leaving an HONEST review after waiting over an hour past their appointment time to be seen(that’s if the office isn’t unexpectedly closed when they show up), having to call repeatedly about sloppy work done to their teeth, etc., you’ll never be acknowledged for the 4 and 5 star ratings you’ve helped these offices keep. Not surprising, seeing as how we get tons of emails reminding us of how important DECA’S image is. Their main concern is protecting their image, and when they have time, they’ll throw in mediocre dental work. I wouldn’t recommend getting the benefits package here when you’re an entry level employee, because with your pay, by the time they get through deducting it out of your check every pay period, you won’t have the spare change to go see the doctor anyway. One final word of advice for anyone who may choose to work here, being overworked and underpaid does not make you a “good sport,†or a “team player,†and you’re not “doing your part,†you’re being exploited. I could go on, but I’ve said enough, and maybe too much. I’m still choosing to give DECA a 1 star rating, not only because it wouldn’t let me leave a review without it, but because every once in a blue moon, you may get a $10 chik-fil-a gift card to help inch you away from your DECA induced mental breakdown.

I paid in cash for a teeth cleaning on Dec. 30, 2020 and still have yet to be reimbursed. I've been strung along since this date. This company was reimbursed from my dental insurance, Cigna, on March 7, 2021 and I have yet to receive my money. I phoned the dental office once again today, and have been told it would take another 3-4 weeks to receive my money! They will take your money all day long but when it comes to returning it, you will get the run around. Even the dental service was Subpar for the treatment I received. All in all, very unprofessional at the independent location and I would not recommend this company in any way!!! Give me my $200 back.

I've been working for DECA Dental Group since March. I've been in dentistry since 2003 and in all those years I've worked for a couple DSOs (Dental Service Organizations) and I just have to say, DECA has by far exceeded my expectations. I don't feel like just a number...I feel like a member of a family. Everyone is helpful and doesn't seem disgruntled with answering questions or helping another team member. Management has been wonderful and has made me feel like one of the team. I feel like my ideas are being heard and considered. I love coming to work and I feel wonderful at the end of the day knowing that we have done right by the patient. I actually sleep at night now!! After my last experience with a DSO, I was pretty skeptical about working for another DSO and had pretty much lost my passion for the field....but upon reading more about DECA and reading the reviews from other employees, I gave it a shot. Best. Decision. Ever. I'm just grateful they chose me to be apart of their amazing team!! They made me fall in love with dentistry all over again.

I have been working with DECA for 6 years now! This is not your typical corporation because this company is in a league of their own. DECA values the dentists and provides the support needed clinically and on the administrative level in order to be successful! There are also opportunities for professional growth for the dentists and support staff as well.
