I have been with Highport marina for 14 years. A few years ago, the management changed and hasn’t been the same since. There was a common dock between our boats and the former management allowed us to put part of my canopy there. There were 2 legs next to my boat and 2 legs on the common dock. Imagine my surprise When I came up for a relaxing day at the lake only to find my canopy, table and chairs had been thrown away! Part of the common dock had been disassembled to rent that slip. Why the manager Christie did not call me and let me know their intentions so I could remove my property is a mystery. When confronted, she said they would pay for a replacement, then backed out. Numerous emails sent and to the corporate office and no one is taking responsibility. During this ordeal, there were boards missing on the walkways to our boats that were missing. Constant reminders about the weeds under the dock. I hope no one has to go thru this ordeal with the marina.. stay clear!

Do not get a dock with them… if you do pay monthly I paid direct deposit and they took out more than what was in the contract… the contract was up and got sick of them charging me extra so I moved the boat… they are still to this day trying to charge me years after the contract was up and the boat was moved….

Surprised to see so many negative reviews. Our experience with the three Safe Harbor marinas that we are familiar with (Scott's Landing at Lake Grapevine, Emerald Point at Lake Travis, and Highport at Lake Texoma) has been stellar in every instance. Amenities vary, but we have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and glad to make sure that our visit is a pleasant one.

Safe harbor Westport marina in Denver NC ripped a giant hole in our front cushion while dry storing our boat and is not taking responsibility for it. We've been loyal customers for going on 4 years now and have had other negative experiences with them also. Poorly managed and completely unprofessional. Beware.

Recently, my wife and I purchased a new boat. After looking around the DFW area, we remembered Twin Coves from years ago. Our BRAND NEW boat was our first boating experience. We relied on information furnished by the Twin Coves Manager. We were told our Slip would be ready July 1, 2021 and that our Lift would be available as soon as we put our boat in the water - July 1, 2021! Well, the Slip was ready on July 1, 2021 but we had been told by the Manager NOTTO PLACE A BOAT IN THE WATER without having a Lift or it would "Stain". We believed what she had told us but believe we were only told that so we would rent a LIFT - which we did - ONLY THE LIFT Wasn't installed! Once we placed our boat in the water, we took it to our slip and tied it up. We went to the manager's office and asked about the Lift. Prior to July 1, 2021, we were told that even if our lift wasn't available, she would have a slip with a lift available - THAT DIDN"T HAPPEN! I asked the manager about the lift again and was told - it will be a couple of days due to the slip being new, there were electrical issues and the new section of the Marina had to be inspected again. Not sure why we were not told this in the beginning! On July 5, we asked again about the LIFT as we didn't want our boat to be stained for sitting in the water too long. We were told that we should be OK for another couple of days. We again, inquired about the Lift on July 7th. We were then told our boat "Should Be OK FOR AT LEAST 10 DAYS" before anything would stain the boat! On July 14, our Lift finally got installed. We raised the boat out of the water and our boat was not only stained - it was stained very bad! The Manager seemed to dismiss our frustration. Not only did our boat get stained, we were without a Lift through July 14th - WAS TOLD WE WOULD RECEIVE A CREDIT - but to this day, after emailing several times, have received no credit (about $100)! We just received our statement for September and still NO CREDIT! In addition to the above, the Manager was going to get a quote for them to "Power Wash" our boat as we were misled and told very bad (and probably untruthful - if not unethical) information. BEWARE OF TWIN COVES MARINA - Very Bad Experience!
