Update (new review edited old review): Well the computer just went dead again about a month ago a full year after I was at PC Werks. I'm having to change my rating on here. When I took it to a different shop this time, they informed me that the computer had a bad hard drive and that he could wipe it clean and get it running like the previous shop (PC Werks), but it would keep doing this because it simply needed replacing. In essence just wasting money getting it just wiped clean. Ok, thanks. At least that shop was upfront and honest. PC Werks neglected to tell me this that I was putting a $75 band aid over a real problem. So, I wasted money. This shop is just out for money. If you looked at my computer and noticed that it had a bad hard drive why didn't you just tell me that so that I could have just gotten another laptop when you knew it would keep dying out on me? A couple of other things I noticed odd about PC Werks when I was there that I didn't mention in my previous post, first when he did wipe my computer, he put unnecessary apps on it that I never requested such as Winamp. First, Winamp is old school that people used to use to listen to music from Limewire and other filesharing videos. Why would you put those apps on my laptop w/out me asking for them? I didn't need them. Only put on someone's laptop what is needed not what you think they want. The other odd thing when I was browsing used computers he had, and they were high priced for the models such as a 12 year old Macbook and Vaio computers. Who still uses Sony Vaio? Then you wanted alot of money for it. The issue I had was as I was looking at the computers the technician in there kept following me around making me uncomfortable. Who follows someone around as they shop and browse? Also, let me not forget that he told me he would call me when my computer was ready. After close to two weeks with no call, I finally called them, and he didn't even remember me but said the computer had been ready for days. If you saw a computer was done and sitting up on your shelf, why not alert the customer? You had my number! smh I don't recommend them.

We learned about PC Werks from our daughter--many years ago. My question to her was: "Why didn't you tell us about Robert sooner?" LOL Robert and his staff (notably Sal) have seen us th rough SO many DeskTop "situations". When one is as computer-illiterate as my wife and I are, it takes a lot of patience to mentor us through our problems [we are 85 years old]. I always am amazed at Robert's patience and calmness as he guides us through the latest mishap. Our last experience at PC Werks has been to outfit my wife and me with newer and faster and more reliable computers--which are exactly alike. This enables us, as a couple, to help one another through our daily routines! Every time we sit at our computers, we think of you, Robert! Thank you SO much for taking time to guide us along the way.

Robert and Sol were extraordinary! My laptop works like new they did a full wipe and were still able to restore all of my data, (even down to in-program preferences.) Couldnt have asked for a better job done, and for a fraction of the cost I assumed it would be. Will definitely be going back next time my tech gives me trouble. -Jordan

Much better, faster and cheaper than Microcenter. Robert was amazing. Taking one star for not updating to latest BIOS.

PC Works provide very excellent customer service. Very friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about fixing laptop and computers issues i highly recommend. Thank you
