I joined Cypress Martial Arts & Fitness the summer before I left for my first year of college and I only wished I joined sooner. I learned so many things in terms of self defense and I feel so much more safer and confident when I have to walk on campus alone. Especially at night. The people there are wonderful and I looked forward to going to training everyday. Training is structured in a way that anyone can join and learn the skills necessary to defend themselves in numerous situations.

The instructors are caring and encouraging with the students. My grandchildren have learned so much about working towards a goal and get a great workout at each class.

My sons and I found the instructors and owners very rude. They dont explain their program progression and if you ask questions, the lady at the front desk will get rude with you and then provide you wrong information. They just give you an outdated "handbook" (you have to print it yourself) that has no information on tabs or stripes and instead of answering questions they tell you to refer to it. I emailed to cancel in writing (30 day notice) - never recieved a response so I had to follow up. The rude lady at the front desk said she meant to respond but that it was canceled- yet tried to run my card AGAIN the following month. We switched to Mixed Martial Arts and my kids are really loving it. They are THRIVING there. Improve how you onboard new people and how you communicate. Also, it's rude if a child asks you not to call them something that isnt their name and you continue doing so, respect children's boundaries.
