ANOTHER UPDATE It's been 3 years since I have worked here and I still have vendors calling me for payment on invoices that are 3 years old!! You guys really need to take care of these people****** I HAVEN'T BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY FOR OVER A YEAR AND STILL HAVE VENDORS CALLING ME FOR ASSISTANCE AND PAYMENT!! DO BETTER POWERHOUSE!!!*****Working at powerhouse had its moments, they have good benefits and pay ok when youre working. That being said its far from sunshine and flowers for a powerhouse employee. Don't go on medical leave or temporary disability they will somehow figure out a way to get rid of you and then not give an explanation. There have been several employees that have encountered this as well. If you want honesty avoid this company.

Thank goodness I read the reviews. We received an email from this company saying they left voice messages about an "emergency" without defining what type of "emergency" they were having or even what service. I checked with all service departments and NO ONE had a voice mail. We are located in NC, this company is in TX. While we do (rarely) contract through LEGITIMATE companies this one seems to be one of the shadier 3rd parties. Stick with homeowners. What an awful way to try to do business.

For over a year powerhouse has let me and my brother park our semi trucks in the far corner of the parking lot. We always stayed out of the way kept clean and caused no trouble. When other trucks that werent allowed to park there, we made sure to get them removed that way it wouldnt be a cluster. Apparently theres new management, and without even hearing me out, denied us to be there anymore as if we were causing trouble or there wasnt enough parking, which there was. I got out of the military and started trucking because I thought it was cool to help make the country run. Thank you for making it that much more difficult to be home and see my family when we drive and cater for yours.

Did work for this company at a circle K gas station. Submitted all required paperwork along with store manager sign off saying the work was completed. Its been over a month now and nobody from this company has not even attempted to contact me about getting paid for the work that was done. I left emails and called this company multiple times and can never get anyone to call or email me back to get payment. This company just needs to go out of business. I dont even know how this company is still even in business. If yall cant do better then this just shut the doors for gods sake. The reviews on this google page says a lot. There is no excuse for how they are handling things I dont wanna hear it. This is not how a business should be run. Who ever owns this company needs to go back to the drawing board and do some work because I dont think it will be in business much longer. I didnt wanna give anyone a bad review but people need to know about them.

I've been a vendor for powerhouse for the past 4 years. In my 15+ years of experience in the construction industry, I have worked for a wide array of GC's. Some good ones, some bad ones. Some that still owe us money after many years and some othars that did pay on time. I've never found a GC's quite like powerhouse. Aside that I've always been paid in full and on a timely manner. I can categorically say, I had never felt to this day as a subcontractor, but more as part or a team. And when a subcontractor feels as part of a team with a bigger goal, that sub will apply his best quality and workmanship to any job because it doesn't feel as work but more like a contribution to that bigger goal. Performing subcontractor work for Powerhouse, I had the privilege to work with many project managers and field superintendents in many different programs, I've witnessed how highly motivated they are to deliver a high quality product for their customers without forgetting about their subcontractors.
