image Texas State Roofing replaced my roof in May of 2016. Upon completion, numerous problems were found by myself including very poor drip edge install and many nails nailed into voids on the rakes and eaves drip edges. And no shingle overhang of drip edge (some places had shingles 3/8 back (negative overhang)from drip edge in many locations which is NOT supported by GAF install instructions). I documented and sent pics to TSR and they sent their crew they were using (all from the valley) back to my home to fix the numerous problems. This crew was very obviously upset that they had to come back. After they were supposed to be finished fixing all of their poor install, I still found numerous areas of poor installation and this was evident especially on drip edge. I informed my sales associate David Issacs of these and was assured all was fine. TSR then had another crew of 2 guys install soffit vents afterward and one of these guys saw all the problems with the roof install that were still present. He informed me that I would have fascia and drip edge underlay rot problems down the road because of the poor installationand he was 100% correct.
4 years down the road I started having fascia/drip edge underlay rot problems on some of the eaves.
5 -6 years even more plus water leakage (ballooning)under my paint on some of the eave fascia which is a dead giveaway to poor eave/drip edge install and first runs of shingle install. I contacted TSR with all my findings including finding areas where their crew didnt even use a starter strip or underlayment. They sent a guy out and he siliconed my eave sections and the poor drip edge corners that were not installed/cut correctly. He did also install some underlayment on a section of eave that had none. First rain after this and I have another section of eave where water is getting under my paint because of TSRs poor installation. I emailed them again and they sent David out who basically told me they now blame my roof decking on the leakage. He said to call him back if more leakage occurs and he can maybe silicone more, but the correct fix would be to reroof the first 3 runs on the eaves, which I already knew. He said they would not do this because my warranty was up.
Ive lived in my home 21years and my eaves/soffits never had leakage before TSR roofed my house. Even with the 19 year old roof I had before.no leakage of eaves/soffits! And, if they claim my decking was a problem then they never should of allowed roofing to be installed on a problem area. This was even indicated on the sales contract. I would of fixed any problems if they would of been brought to my attention. They claiming my decking is now the problem is just another way of them getting out of fixing what they did wrong in the first place. Their crew did a poor job. Now I have to pay someone else to fix TSRs poor install job!
Do your research.hopefully TSR got rid of that crew who they used to roof my home. This is the first and hopefully last bad google review I ever have to write. Too bad this company wont stand behind their poor install which was pointed out more than once upon completion of the job!

image New: We have provided everything from the beginning. when the Texas state roofing came by to give the quote all the needed information was provided. since it was insurance related all the paperwork from insurance and all related items were picked up by Texas roofing company personnel. (early May 2022)
however, no update was happening from the Texas state roofing, for over a month and I have to call and find out why it wasn't happening. (until the end of June 2022)
The person in charge was having health issues (covid-19), and the Texas roofing company was overloaded with work.
I waited for any updates but yet I didn't get an update unless I called to get updates.
then all of a sudden quote came after another month and all of a sudden it says no insurance claim.(End of July 2022)
we have to figure out what to do.
initially, the Texas roofing company would take charge of whatever was required, but that was not entirely correct.
I'm just very disappointed with the overall experience.
now it seems like the company is blaming language barriers. and me being in a different city?
How do those factors slow down the company doing business in 2022?
OLD: Really hard to get any communication going
They talk like they would take care of all the business but they don't do anything and leave you hanging
Not responsive and responsible Services: Roof repair, Roof repair for storm & wind damage
