My wife and I were patients of Dr. Belinda Gonzalaz before she moved to Cano Health. Our first contact with Cano Health was when we were trying to schedule appointments with Dr. Gonzalez. We would call and they said they had no such doctor at that office. They kept saying they would look into it and call me back and no one ever did. I had to personally go to the office to schedule an appointment. It was worth all the trouble to finally get to see her again. It was sad to hear that she left but I don't blame her. Cano Health has bad customer service. After Dr. Gonzalez left I continued to go there for a follow-up appointment. As i was leaving I asked if I needed to do any lab work for my next follow-up since I have diabetes. The lady at the front desk told me I was supposed to request the lab work. I told her the doctor should be the one ordering the lab work, not me. She said she would find out if the doctor ordered any and let me know. It's been weeks and no one has called. After that, my wife and I thought we had COVID and wanted to get tested. We called to ask for guidance because the Health Department wasn't answering the phone and they said they didn't know what we should do. I would think that a large corporation like Cano Health would be able to tell us where we could get tested the fastest. My wife and I scheduled our appointments consecutively and when we showed up they said they didn't have one for her. I have also been seeing a nephrologist for several years. That office called me when I was on the way to the appointment to reschedule. They said I needed a new referral from Cano Health so they could continue seeing me and they had been calling for days and no one had sent the referral yet. I called the local office where I had been told by the office manager to call with any problems. I told them I needed the referral for the nephrologist and they said for me to call later. I called later and they told me I had to call the 1-800 number. I called the 1-800 number and they wanted to know the date of my appointment and how many times I needed to see the nephrologist. I told them I had been seeing the nephrologist for years. They are supposed to get back to me. It's been weeks and I haven't heard back. I am so angry.

Won't refill my blood pressure medication without me coming in. I am scheduled for back surgery next week and confined to wheelchair and cannot get in right now. Same doctor and same medication I've taken for years. They consider me a new patient even though Dr. Gonzalez has been my doctor over 15 years! Addendum: my husband went to the Cano office and was told Dr. Gonzalez does not work there any longer. She lasted less than 6 months! So, I have no doctor! And no medication.

I have been a patient of Belinda Gonzales since 2017. I needed to get my prescriptions refilled for my chronic migraines and called to get them refilled. They said I had to see the doctor first since I would be considered a "new" patient. Ok, so let me get seen. Next available when I requested to be seen beginning of April isn't until June 15. I still need my prescriptions though and I have no refills. Kept getting transferred from departments and when I asked where they are located it was a call center out of Florida! They kept saying you are a new patient. I for one go to my annual check up and when I am sick which was before she made her transfer to the group. Called the office again and because I can not function a day to day life without these migraines which are debilitating at times. I asked to speak the doctors nurse or the doctor. You can't just drop your patients like that. I want to know where all my patient history is since they say there is no information on me as a patient. Finding a provider is very frustrating. I want someone local not people working for a franchise that doesn't really care about their patients.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I have been a patient of Belinda Gonzalez for well over 15 years. I called today, April 13th, to schedule an appointment in June (I am a teacher and really only go to the doctor during the summer). First off, between two different people, I was on the phone for over 20 minutes just to be told I could not be seen until July 31st (after teachers return to work). That would be the first available "new patient" slot. NEW PATIENT! Even though I have been her patient for all of these years, I would be a new patient to Cano Health. Wow!! What a disappointment!
