QuikTrip

This is the second QT in the Houston-area, after the Conroe one. 7-11 bought out Stripes to get into Houston from Dallas, and QT is just flat out building brand new locations. Without a doubt, this is place is almost as good as a Buc-ee's because of the 'QT Kitchen'. Value-wise, it surpasses Buc-ee's and is the cheapest fast food in the area, given how much restaurants have had to increase their prices. Places like Love's, Dickey's, El Burrito, Bailey's, and others will have a hard time competing with a state-of-the-art gas station, like the Dallas area has had. This is a blessing for the Cleveland area, which has felt like traveling 10-15 years in the past compared to Dallas, just look at how outdated the Love's is in comparison. The new state-of-the-art Whataburger also feels very much like 2022 instead of 2002. The only downside to this place is there's not as many pumps as you'd like because people tend to spend 30 minutes inside the store ordering food or sitting at the tables, and that it's a little difficult for Cleveland residents to get to and is mostly to appeal to travelers. I'm not sure if you can use the pumps on the side that are meant for trucks. A lot of restaurants charge 15 dollars a plate now, but I'll just be spending 5 to get a pulled pork sandwich. Sorry, QT is just faster and better. So happy we have something more befitting of "civilization" here in Cleveland, as I was getting worried about seeing 3 more Car Washes and vape places coming in. Hopefully the location on 59 will be a small deterrent to keeping the Plum Grove/105 bypass traffic away, as they overrun the east side of town during rush hour. In short, I'm retiring from eating at restaurants and sticking with the QT now. Oh and the gas is the cheapest in town too!
