Darrell's was a very unique job, took about 3 weeks and a lot of patience. Darrell was kind enough to leave this great review on facebook. We had a swamp for a driveway a literal 1/4 mile of dreaded hell! vehicle maintenance alone was costing us a fortune and quite honestly breaking the bank. Not to mention the nearly every day stress of getting stuck. I say had because James and his crew came in and fixed every inch of it with true determination, dedication and with knowledge that is rare to find these days. James knew exactly what needed done and he did it. I couldn't be happier with the job that was done. and I consider James a dear friend not because he fixed our driveway but he told it like it was. In my opinion you won't get a better job done by a better person. Thank you James! Thank you Darrell Kirksey, it was a pleasure working for you.

Raw Land to Perfection Kelly Down, Im Down with that!!! Started my search for a contractor in December 2020 for building a 1000ft driveway and shaping several acres of a hill into three house pads. After many calls, missed appointments, and disappointments from all the competition I was introduced to Jamie and it has been nothing but business since. Jamie is an experienced professional when it comes to his craft. Jamie and his team thoroughly evaluated the requirements for this project and provided great advice and direction, even prior to quoting and being selected for the project. With this level of professionalism and knowledge I asked for a quote from Kelly Down for the entire project. When I received the quote it was clear Jamie wanted our project as his price was extremely fair and kicked the competitions rear. After entering into a formal contract provided by Kelly Down, we were given a tentative start date. The project start was delayed one day and Kelly Down notified us and kept us informed of the delay with justifiable reason. The only instructions we provided were the locations and directions of the three pads. I told Jamie and his team they had a blank canvass and the only requirement was to ensure they satisfied my CEO (Wife) with the work they performed. Without being able to be present during the work, I was confident Kelly Down would turn Raw Land into Perfection. With the property being 105 miles away Jamie and his team assured confidence in their ability to complete the project satisfactorily. The work began and Jamie kept us informed every step of the project with updates and photos. If there was any question, Jamie and his team did not hesitate to stop and ask. All of their employees were very fun to work with. Kevin, the jokester and Jamies brother, was a master on any equipment he operated. James, the dozer guy, was genius craftsman with shaping the dirt. Mariano on excavator made pine stumps look like chumps. It was like a fine orchestra of heavy equipment turning a vision into reality. The work was started on Thursday and completed on a Monday. My CEO and I made it out on the weekend, and practically no words could describe her happiness standing on the edge of her future home site looking out over the hill and woods. Did they succeed with the CEO, I would say they turned a city girl country knowing she was going to sit on her patio in that very spot in the near future. My assessment of their work was, it was clear they knew their trade and listen to the customer. Their customer first attitude and their treating the project as if it were their own property showed throughout the entirety of the project! I would highly recommend Kelly Down and will continue to use and recommend their services. Its a dirty job, but with Kelly Down they clean up well!!!

No one will else work on my property. It started with a solid quote followed by solid and responsive communication. Kevin & Jamie are two great guys who explain everything and do what they say they are going to do. They were not afraid to tackle a hard job and although not a complete road yet (due to weather) I am extremely happy with them. They cleared 1250 feet of deep woods and if I can figure it out I will post a pic of the progress this far. I have three more phases of the job and these guys are MY dirt guys!!!!!
