We didn't realize that garages are not painted and that a garage door opener is not installed. Guess this is something we missed in the contract or should have clarified. We ended up canceling our contract right after the blue tape walk through and lost our EM. The house was not ready nor it is of quality. I wouldn't recommend unless you are okay with paying lots of money for a house and have to do a lot of the basic stuff that should already come with the house, yourself (painting and installing garage door openers). (Note: their houses are not smart houses)

My home is almost four years old and thus far it has been just about flawless. Although few minor things have never been properly addressed. My carpeting was destroyed by a worker and was never replaced we have one large circular stain in our loft where a worker spilled a turpentine smelling solution. Blackmon Mooring tried to clean it up could not- that's the company that destroyed it is first place and the stain sits there ever since. Our water heater has never been drained because the drainpan abstructs the the drain pipe. Both issues were reported and neither were ever fixed to our satisfaction. Numerous cabinet drawers were broken before move in day and never replaced so my husband put screws in them to hold them together. Small little irritating issues that if they were address could make this company a fabulous company to buy from. We have NOT experienced any shifting foundation, cracking walls, settling or sticking doors which can be very common in South Texas if you don't keep your foundation properly watered. All-in-all I'm very pleased with my purchase no major issues. I would buy a Bella Vista home again. All new builds have kinks that can be fixed, thats to be expected. But these issues should always be properly fixed to the customers satisfaction. Oh and our exterior of our home is supposed to be a gray color it is tan but I've Been Told by my sales person that it is definitely a gray house lol it is not!
