Hampton Inn & Suites Childress

Ice machine, hot tub, and pool out of order. Shower floor grimy, completely out of shampoo. Room phone, no dial tone. Internet bad. Doesn't feel like a Hampton Inn.

Hotel room was very clean and staff very nice. Beds were pretty comfortable, definitely had more comfortable but perfevt for traveling.

The bathroom smelled like it had a sewer leak. The floor tile was missing a lot of grout, exposing the sharp tile edge. The bathroom floor was soft when walking on it. The bedding had stains. One of the elevators would shake while in operation.

I was pleased with my stay here... almost. The area was safe, and the grounds were neat and well-maintained. My room was also nice, clean, and overall what should be expected... except I couldn't darken the room. The big window in front of the bed... floodlight outside the window. Miserably bright in my room. The curtain does not extend. They are merely decorative and do not close. I included a photograph. Also, paper-thin walls. I hear people coughing in the next room Breakfast from 6 to 10. Checkout at noon. Coffee is available in the lobby area.
