This facility within the Channelview Sports Complex could be a great facility but the neglect is extremely apparent. Fields are in horrible condition and very unsafe. Its truly a shame because the facility has all possibilities of hosting tournaments and raising funds. Parking is very adequate and warmup space is abundant. Slight reconditioning of the concession & restroom area is needed but fields are real problem. No batting cages for tournament warmup. Needs to be installed. Could be great place for youth sports. Start by cutting grass on fields and dragging & smoothing the dirt infields as well as installing safe base anchors & bases. The kids deserve better. This park is under Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey. You should ask why some Harris County Parks are well-funded such as Paul Rushing Park in Katy but not Channelview. Ball fields at Rushing are very well-maintained by Harris County.
