Do not go to Rapid Alterations off New Hope in Cedar Park!! We dropped off my daughter 's prom dress here 2 weeks ago. Called yesterday since it was not ready when promised. At first they could not find it, then they called back around 6 saying it was going to cost more than what we already paid. Well by now it's too late to pick it up and take it somewhere else to be done by Saturday! Total ripoffs!! I was already charged extra for extra layers and length and then told the same thing for the extra charge. They refused to give dress back without paying the extra cost!!!!

If you need any alterations for wedding or prom, this is the place! I took my matron of honor dress here to get hemmed. She pinned it to its new length in no time! They took their time going over the dress to make sure and quote me the correct (and extremely reasonable) price, so there were no surprises at pick up time. I was literally in and out in 5 minutes. The dress was ready faster than we expected, and I am so happy with the results. It's perfect now! The service was speedy, super, and I know my dress was in good hands.

They wanted to charge me $10 to sew a 2" X 3" patch on a vest!!!! NO WAY.

Worst service imaginable. I brought a bridesmaid dress in for alteration. I needed the sleeves taken up a little and the dress taken in. I came back in to pick it up and could not get the dress on because the sleeves were now so tight. They said they would fix it. I went in after they were supposed to have fixed it, and there was not much difference. I still could not get onto my body the dress that was way too large when I brought it in. Today I went in for the third time, since the wedding is Saturday. It is still too small and the sleeves are overly snug. I was told it could not be let out since there was no more material. They said if I had the material they could do something. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO CUT THE MATERIAL OFF! Where was I now supposed to get it from? So now, three days before the wedding and over a month after taking it to them, I have a dress that is too tight, the arms are uneven from the shoddy work done, it smells like smoke and must from being in their shop, and I have a $330 dress that I paid $80 to have altered and instead had it massacred. They did not even offer to refund anything after ruining it. Do yourself a favor, and if you have anything but a basic hem to be done, find someone else.

I have used this location for all of my families alterations needs for the past 10 years. They have always asked for 2-3 days to get the alterations done. They have even done next day service and didn't seem like it was ever a problem. I called today to have my daughters prom dress altered and the experience was terrible! The gentleman who answered the phone discussed that he was not taking anymore alterations in at this time. I explained that I have never had an issue with getting alterations done here before and never have they turned away my buisness. To make a long story short. It is now under new ownership and the customer service I received over the phone was horrible. He said he only has one employee that wants to work 40 hrs a week. With his social skills I am supprised he has one employee that wants to work for him at all. I proceeded to ask him for a referral to somewhere else who might could help me. Of course he was not helpful in fact he got very rude and defensive and said " So your blaming me for not having enough time to alter your dress". The fact is that I will be able to get the dress altered somewhere else but I will NEVER use this location for alterations ever again and I will be sure to let everyone who I have referred there know the way the new ownership handles buisness now! Very sad to see good places go to crap!
