We located this company Great Pool Guys by performing a general search for a pool contractor with experience in building a grotto. Stephen responded to my request and provided the design to our vision. We are more than satisfied. Despite rain delays the project was completed on time and within the estimated cost. I know value has been added to our home as a result of this investment. I highly recommend Great Pool Guys We are over the top pleased with the outcome. Really bad experience. Roger installed a new filter on my pool equipment. It was apparently not connected properly as now when the equipment is backflushed, the water pours out directly on to the ground flooding the immediate area. In spite of multiple texts and messages it has not been fixed, and Roger is just not responding. This has ruined part of new landscaping I had just paid for, and flushed a load of mulch directly into the pool. This company has proved totally unreliable at all points. They had told me the old filter would be taken away. It wasn't. It was left in the alley behind my house and I had to call them to take it away. They told me they would use my existing multi-port valve on the new filter. They didn't, and installed a push-pull valve that I did not want, saying it was easier for the technician. They broke three appointments in a row for pool cleaning over a seven day period, and I ended up doing it myself. I will be finding a reputable company to fix the filter issue and will be sending a complaint to BBB. I will also be taking them to small claims court to get reimbursement for the repair they will not fix. Do yourself a favor - don't deal with this company!! Update: The initial response from this pool company to the above review was to call me and apologize, admitting they did not do things correctly. That response has apparently been changed, and now they are saying they don't know anything about it and it was not them at all - how curious! Service: General repairs & maintenance

We have a saltwater pool and it needed resurfacing. I went to Angie to find a pool contractor because they are supposed to be reputable. We got an estimate from 2 pool resurfacing contractors and decided to go with Great Pool Guys. Started out as we can start in a week and get this done in 1 weeks. Steve (owner), "Great Pool Guys will be there tomorrow" showed up 1 week later (several times). We definitely had to be the squeaky wheel and call or text him frequently. After work was finished, we took in a water sample prior to putting in salt and chemicals to find out where we stood. Calcium was 510 very high. Pool store guy at Leslies asked if we put any calcium in and we had not. City water I am told has around 80ppm Calcium? Pool is approx. 13,000 gal pool. So we spoke to Great Pool Guys and asked what he thinks happened, we asked what the pool store guys asked us, if maybe the calcium was leaching out of the plaster they used, did they add too much Calcium to Plaster, etc... Great Guys promised to come and drain 1/2 pool and refill that weekend. No Show. By Tuesday at 8:00 pm they had not shown so WE rented a pump and drained the pool out selves. His guys show up at 8:30pm to drain pool and we had already done. Steve said he will pay for additional water on our bill and throw in the pool light that also needed fixing. He was a no show, then texted and said he will personally come and fix it himself. Then no he is not going to fix it it can't be fixed. No on fixing the light. Reimbursement of water bill to refill pool not materialized yet. To boot turned on the Hot Tub and 3 of the flush mount jets they replaced shot out of the holes. Truly amazing. I would not recommend this company. Service: Swimming pool resurfacing
