TK Custom Homes

Have problems with your home after they sell and need to contact the warranty company? Good luck. Can't get a single soul to answer. Every employee that we have contacted, no longer works there. The owner, won't take a phone call. My advice, choose another builder and don't purchase a TK built home. Structural supports are cracking, workmanship finishing touches issues have not been addressed even though we've told them about them several times.

I was highly impressed with the Team at TK. The quality of home we looked at was amazing and undoubtedly one of the better builds we've seen in the Greater San Antonio Area. We just started our process and will update this review in the future.

From My Experience (formally known as Wagner-Holak Custom Builder): If you are considering using this builder, here are a few things you should know from my experience. TK Custom Homes is formally known as Wagner Holak Custom Homes. New name but same practices. First, why the name change. Second, look at the reviews. You can find reviews on the BBB website, Facebook, Google, Yelp, and other sites. I realized I had made a mistake with my selection at a point where it was too late to turn back. They were quick to blame everything on COVID. Nice but not true. It was a lack of commitment, lack of experienced workers, lack of leadership and a lack of integrity. They claim that they build lasting family-like relationships with the customers. It's a relationship filled with distrust and deceit. This is especially true for the owner. Warning, he talks a good game. Be smart and trust your instincts. They claim they build the home of "your" dreams. You get a product that he/owner is satisfied with calling complete. Nearly 90% of everything built has had to be corrected more than 3 times and in some cases are still not as it should be. A few examples are the home design (exterior/interior), drywall, plumbing, deck railing, painting, flooring, foundation and etc.. Its insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. You must be willing to bombard their office with phone calls and emails, until it almost feels like youre begging. I am still waiting on things to be complete. In fact, some things fall into the safety non-compliance area. I am sure the owner thinks I will let it go and move on. However, anyone who knows me, knows that I am a problem solver who believes in getting the intended results. I plan to move on but AFTER they complete everything per contract. I am equally passionate when I have a great experience. In fact, I expressed this to the owner. I would love to write a review that discusses the issues during the build process BUT also how they were attentive, committed and corrected each concern. However, by his own admission, the builder/owner is unbothered about you having issues with his finished product and is unconcerned about negative reviews. So, I write this review to help you and hopefully keep you from making the same mistake. My experience was ruined because I chose the wrong builder. An amazingly great custom builder that is not only realtor friendly, but has a reputation of putting the client first..
