My husband and I just spent the weekend here and we didn't want to leave. It was rainy all weekend but we didn't care, it was so peaceful. We were able to sit on the front porch of our cabin and just watch the rain and relax, truly unplug and get away from all of the stress we'd been carrying. When the rain would stop, we'd sit at the firepit at the back of the cabin and enjoy the view. We didn't end up in the hot tub just because of rain timing, but it would have been a beautiful view from the hot tub as well. If you're wanting to truly get away and relax, this is the place to do it! Because of the rain we just stayed in our cabin the whole time (except for one quick trip out to buy butter that we had forgotten and a blanket), we can't wait to go back and hopefully have better weather to explore the ranch a little more, but even if the weather doesn't cooperate, we know we'll still enjoy it. A few recommendations for those that like to prepare: I would recommend not taking a car if possible, the main road in, as is normal with dirt roads, has some serious pot holes. You could probably avoid them well enough if you only have a car, but if you have a CUV, SUV, or truck, I would take that. Because of the weather, my husband decided we'd take his truck instead of my minivan, we were very grateful we had the truck. I would also recommend taking your own blanket for the bed if its cool/cold. The sheets were good, the blanket was too thin for me, and when I say thin, I mean thin. I'm sure it's perfect in summer, but with the rain and cooler temps, it was not enough for us. We could have turned the heat on to make it work, but we enjoyed having the windows open at night to let the fresh night air in. If you're planning to cook extensively on the stove top, take your own pans. My husband is the chef so he did all the cooking and he said he wished he had brought a pan and one of his good knives. We also will take either travel coffee cups or microwave safe ones with us next time. Our coffee cooled quickly in the metal cups with the weather and since they were metal, we couldn't heat in the microwave. Again, what was supplied worked and we were extremely happy with our stay, just next time, we'll bring a couple more things with us to accommodate our personal preferences. Thank you Hideaway for a truly wonderful weekend, we will be back!

We stayed in the Hacienda. Fantasic view from the back porch. We came in February so it was rainy and cold. It was still a great hike around the property. We will definitely stay again. If it's peace and quiet you want, this is the place.

This place has great potential! However after driving 4 hours to get here we are greeted by cockroaches Ewwww So four kids didnt want to sleep knowing there were active cockroaches. I wasnt going to cook under these conditions. So quite an expensive stay.

We take great care to provide an excellent experience for our guests. Unfortunately sometimes we miss the mark. This guest did encounter 2 roaches and checked out early. As soon as they checked out I went to the cabin, moved all of the furniture, including the refrigerator and stove, and did not find any evidence of roaches. We then sprayed the entire cabin and put out bait stations. Hopefully this was an isolated instance due to the extreme cold weather we had the week before, but we have taken measures to ensure that this problem has been corrected.
