I am a senior male who is conscious of sobriety who was in a plane crash, I had many years of total sobriety but succumb to pain meds. Pain meds might be a death sentence for this individual. Dr Allaire has been my addiction-olgist and physician. He is so patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I have sent many physicians and patients needing his specialized treatment methods to see him. When I explain to a regular md, my past relationship to drugs and alcohol they are dumb founded and then cast judgement, it is not a good feeling, yet I need medical help. Consider, most clientele suffering from our malady, addiction; are hopeless and have a background full of sorted behaviors but this doctor understands this, and is able to assist the patient with recovery, if the patient will allow him. As I said, I am a senior male, I attend meetings for my mental condition and my doctor works to improve my physical condition.
