The Grooves Dance Band | Austin Wedding Band & Party Entertainment

Ron and the Grooves played at our wedding last month and they were just amazing! From the first email to the day itself, Ron was always on hand to help us get everything organised. The band were the absolute highlight of the wedding reception and kept the dance floor packed with their fun and polished performances. They were so accommodating, helping us to bring together music from our two cultures and to create a wedding reception that truly represented us and brought together all of our friends and family to celebrate with us. I was really disappointed in this vendor. I had taken the time to mark next to each of their songs if we liked it or didn't. I sent this list to the band and they seemed to do nothing with it because they started to play the cupid shuffle during the wedding. This was the song I wrote "absolutely do not play" (or something along those lines) next to it. I was just so incredibly frustrated that they did not listen to me and had such bad taste to even play this song. I also had filled out the questionnaire they asked me to and put "stop the father/daughter song at X time" because I didn't want them to play the part in the song about the guy not ever being good enough. During the wedding, they played the ENTIRE song. Just another incident of them not listening to me. They also had the list of songs we liked wrong because they said that Get Lucky was on our requested list and it was not. After I was outraged by the attempt to play Cupid Shuffle, they came up to me with a list of songs and wanted me to review it DURING THE WEDDING. I did not want to sit there and review it as I was trying to enjoy the night. That was something that should've been done months ago by the band- not during the wedding. That was completely unprofessional. Overall, I'm just incredibly floored that you could pay so much money for someone to not listen to you. I hope that brides read this and listen to me when I suggest you book another band.

The Grooves are awesome! Everyone at our daughter's wedding reception commented on how great the band was - the dance floor was always crowded! Even one of our guests who is musician himself (playing at weddings) thought they were fantastic. They accommodated all special requests and could not have been nicer folks to deal with. Highly, highly recommend!

The Grooves performed for our group of 160 at a country club venue and everyone had a wonderful time. Their energy, talent and singing voices made it difficult to NOT dance and the dance floor remained full to the very end, but even those who did not dance, were treated to some great entertainment for all ages!

Ron and the Grooves were excellent in all respects. They are a great cover band, terrific to work with and true professionals. They were perfect for our corporate dinner event. Highly recommend!!!!!
