Mattei Visuals

StoryView LLC recently worked with Mattei Visuals on a project in San Antonio. Like many doc style productions, this one needed a DP that was willing to bob and weave for a few days. Not only was Mario happy to do what was necessary, his suggestions and advice were critical in making this production a successful one.

Mario is one exceptional individual! He is a determined and passionate film director. One of his greatest assets is his exuberant positive overflowing energy that creates a powerful synergy among the entire film crew. Mario knows filmmaking backwards and forwards. He dives in head first into the deep end of the pool of a project. Before long he will know the story better than the writers and producers. His warm personality and sincere demeanor are infectious to all those around him. A professional and articulate director with an abundance of creativity. Mario is a true delight to work with and a man I am happy to call my friend!

Five stars aren't nearly enough for the genius, the collaborative spirit, and the sheer kindness that is Mario Mattei. I have had the great pleasure and privilege of bringing Mario with me to DP on three projects for TOYOTA, one of those being in partnership with ESPN. He is the only DP I have ever worked with who both has taught me and collaborated with me in such a way that ego was never anywhere near, and where partnership for the best work possible was always present. His empathy combined with his visionary is that of creative greatness.
