    I was referred to this office by a surgeon at ADC two weeks ago. I was waiting to hear from their office, but nobody called me so I called them. Whoever answered the phone was not very nice plus a little confused. I gave her my name and number and was told Id get a call back. After about two days I called my referring Dr to let them know I had not heard from this office. My referring Drs nurse called and spoke to someone there, and called to tell me they would be giving me a call. Its been two days and nobodys reached out. I then called their office this morning and spoke to Jessica ( in billing)thats what she told me. I told her how I was referred. They have my referral because my referring Drs nurse confirmed they had it. She told me shed check in on this and have someone call me back. I called them at 10am this morning and its now after 1. Ive since called my referring Dr to let them know what happened ,and that Id like to be referred to another Dr. if this is how this office is run Id rather go elsewhere.

    I recently took my mom to her appointment and was very displeased with the whole experience. When the office called to confirm the day before they said we would just pay a copay. Then we get there are the front desk lady didnt have a clue what she was doing or what she was collecting and what for. She just asked for $350 for a consult despite checking we had insurance. She was flustered, confused, rude, and incompetent. One of the most important positions is the front desk because its the first impression a patient gets. I was uneasy about it from there but let my mom have her consultation and then left. If this is the staff he hires to run his office I am scared.

    Dr Gotvald and his staff are awesome. They make the entire experience bearable and stress free. Quiet environment and everyone is attentive to needs. Recommend this surgeon highly, he explains things easily understandable and promotes confidence in his abillitis.

    The worst experience ever I had. I called to clinic for appointment month ago. Lady from clinic said that I need pay 50$ for reservation and asked my insurance information. I said that I thank my insurance not gonna cover this, but she said we can try and possibly youll get your 50$ back. She didnt say about any cost of apartment, only 50$ reservation. After I was talking with them few times more and get few emails, no any info about additional payments. And 20 hours before appointment I got call from them and that said I should pay + 150$ for appointment. I wasnt ready pay this amount of money, and I asked about appointment cancelation. She said we can cancel it, but well charge you for 85$+, because you wanna cancel appointment less than 24 hours before. I was trying talk to her and asked cancel it free ,because I didnt know full info before. They werent to nice and just said ,that thats how they are working and I have only 2 options, pay 150$ for appointment or 85$ for cancellation. Also she said they got info from my insurance company on Friday, so they could let me know on Friday or Monday morning and I could cancel appointment free, but they called me on Monday at 12 is pm, so it was 20 hours before appointment and cancellation cost now 85$. Just wanna day, be careful before come to this clinic.

So sorry for your dissatisfaction. With the Covid surge we unfortunately had a situation in which all of our staff got exposed and some infected & also lost several other experienced staff members in transitions related to the pandemic. We then had a very hard time finding replacement staff & then training the new staff in a timely fashion. Let us know if there is anything we can do to make things right.

Hello Ms. Shydlovska. I discussed your situation with my long-standing office staff and I am sympathetic of your concerns. My office staff reported that they had some difficulty communicating effectively with you over the phone and that there potentially was some misunderstanding related to language differences making communication difficult. We only have native English and Spanish staff. If there is anything I can do to help clarify I would be happy to speak with you further. The only reason we charge a refundable scheduling fee is to help ensure that patients keep their appointments, otherwise we tend to have many last minute cancellations or "no show" appointments. Medical fees beyond the refundable scheduling fee (which is refunded at the time of the physician visit) are billed directly to the health insurance company and this is why they collect your health insurance information from you at the time the appointment is made. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment we always refund the scheduling fee as long as you provide us 24 hours notice. We always explain the refundable nature of the scheduling fee when the fee is initially collected over the phone.
