Texas MedClinic Urgent Care

Had a great experience today. It was slow so I was in and out pretty quick. The staff and doctor that treated me were very nicely!

I went there with my Mom who has shoulder fracture. Even though she had Insurance the front staff including the clinic manager refused to accept her insurance and asked us to pay upfront. I called the Insurance company they verified that this clinic is in network should be accepting insurance, the clinic manager kept on denying it. Just went to another urgent care Care Now in I 35, they had no problem to verify the insurance. Being an urgent care they should focus on giving people the urgent treatment needed than talking about insurance acceptance, bills can be taken care later, in urgent care , getting the urgent treatment is important.

I used the online check-in and made an appointment, waited an hour at home, then got a text to come in. When I checked in at my appointment time I waited A WHOLE HOUR MORE in the waiting room before I got into a patient room. Needless to say Im extremely disappointed at the lack of communication. I would have waited that hour in the comfort of my own home if that was the case. Would not recommend for children as waiting for an hour while sick felt like torture.

Good doctor but long wait times even though I had an appointment time reserved. I paid 150 to wait 45 minutes after they took my vitals.

I used to go to Texas MedClinic for a lot of things. To my surprise, they recently increased their deductible fee to $150. I was only going on for some nerve pain in my back. Im only supposed to get charged 10% copay but they kept saying $150 deductible. So Im very disappointed I wont be going to them anymore, everything is already crazy expensive and this was def a slap in the face.
