Austin Water Designs did a fantastic job from start to finish with our pool/outdoor living project. From the start, Jack (designer) was very responsive, informative, and talented at helping us piece together our dream pool. AWD finished our project quickly and efficiently with constant communication along the way. They helped us in all of our design choices, which led to a final product that exceeded our expectations. Our construction manager, Bruce, was so quick to get back to us on any questions we had and always let us know when new crews would be coming out and broke down for us what each crew would be doing. Bruce put a lot of effort and care into our project and we couldn't ask for anything more. Kristin helped assist us in our design options and really put our minds at ease along the way. It can be a daunting task to choose from all of the tile, coping, decking, and plaster options, but Kristin helped guide us to what we were envisioning. She gave her honest opinion along the way, which was very helpful and ultimately led us to our final product. Thank you, Kristin, for all of your help! Ned helped us on the electrical side, as well as with our pool school class at the end of construction. To this day, Ned is still quick to respond and incredibly helpful post-construction. AWD's attention to detail and customer service sets them apart from the rest of the pack. AWD finished our pool in June 2018 and we have enjoyed it ever since. It's beautiful and we really appreciate all of the hard work they did. The design process was very smooth and so was the initial construction - they did a great job making sure the structural foundation of the pool was correct before proceeding. Like any major construction project, there were hiccups, but AWD did a good job working through these. I would definitely use them again if I ever build another pool.

We started our pool and spa this summer and it was finished in early October, just in time for a few weeks of swimming. We chose Austin Water Designs because their price was competitive with other providers and the pool designer was professional, accommodating, and followed up with us. He didnt pressure us to make a decision, but stayed in touch on a regular basis. And when the pool was complete, he stopped by with a goody basket full of pool toys. Our permitting process took a while due to some issues with the original permitting of our house and we were delayed about 6 weeks. Once we got started, Austin Water Designs moved swiftly and things progressed at a steady pace and we saw improvement each week. We didnt have a regular project manager on the project for the first six week or so. Because of this, we werent clear on exactly where we were in the process and if we were on track to finish on schedule or not. About half way through, we had a project manager assigned to the job and he kept us informed every step of the way. The project manager was professional in his communication and seemed genuinely interested in making our project a success. He was new to the field, coming over from home construction, and he was learning the industry on the job. He told us this up front and it didnt cause a problem with our project, he just couldnt answer a lot of our questions right away. About 9 weeks into the project it was clear that we were not going to finish the project on the original schedule. The weather was partly to blame as we had about 2 weeks of solid rain around the time we should have been wrapping up. We continued to see progress though, and the project manager kept us informed. However, its probably true that the original designer over promised on the timeline by a few weeks. Our pool is beautiful and were thrilled with the results. The pool school was very helpful and we were thoroughly instructed on how to control every aspect of the pool and how to keep it in top shape. We realized during training that we couldnt control our bubbler with the remote and Austin Water Designs quickly remedied that situation by installing a missing part. We also had a warranty issue after the fact and Austin Water Designs installed an extra blower for the spa at no additional charge. We are very happy with the results of the project and with Austin Water Designs ability to deliver nearly everything they promised. We would have appreciated a more realistic estimate on the timeline in the beginning, and maybe one or two check-ins from the owner of the company. These were minor issues though and I would highly recommend Austin Water Designs.
