I've worked with two of the three generations of Lockharts operating HJ Lockhart metal Services. Since 2008 they have been immediately responsive to my needs and purchases, which have always been custom pieces no other company could, or would produce. And, though my requests have always been business "emergencies", the Lockharts provided competitive pricing. Speaking pragmatically, we all know there are instances with any provider that are less than favorable. But, all-n-all, I can honestly state that HJ Lockhart Metal Service maintains quality, integrity, and service that is well above the curve and will offer my personal reccomendation for their use on any project or piece need you may have. I'm a DIY woodworker and am building a table base that has some custom braces attached. I had the braces made by someone else, but the attachment holes were too small and my shop just doesn't have the capability of working with metal. I was referred to HJ Lockhart from Metals 4 U who said HJ would probably take care of me. I talked to James over the phone who said to come on down and that he or Victor would probably be able to help. I met with Victor at the shop and he graciously drilled the holes to my specifications. 2 holes at 1 3/8" and 2 holes at 1/4" for a total of 4 holes. The job took about 20 mins total and after discussing pay, I was out and on my way. Pic shows the brace I brought in to HJ. The hole they drilled is just under the cap and allows the conduit pipe to slip through and be capped on this side. HJ also punched the 1/4" hole near the bottom of the triangle shape. Welds weren't done at HJ. I'm very likely to have more of these types of jobs in the future and will be taking my business to HJ Lockhart when those needs arise.

I run 2 welding companies and have been going to Lockhart over the years. Last job they completed in half the time they said and a 3rd of the time the next company said. They were also lower in cost and work was done exactly how I drew up.

The company I work for uses them extensively. Tell them what you need and they will make it for you. Turn around has always been decent as well.
