Allan was able to pin point a renovation plan, help hire subcontractors & even help with getting it ready! We received several offers which he advised us to pass on & to be patient. Allan served as our leasing agent initially when I needed help leasing my primary house in Steiner Ranch after I bought a new house. He was able to secure such amazing long term tenants for us that I approached him for another investment property. He then served as my buyer agent and assisted in locating the right property in a good neighborhood that also made positive cash flow with potential equity growth. It truly was like finding a needle in a haystack but he did it. He negotiated terms with the seller and there were some compromise - but in the end, after explaining the process- we were satisfied with the transaction as it was a win-win for all parties. He mentioned several times that if the transaction does not make sense for us (in terms of financing/ interest rate/ rental rates, etc.), we can hit pause. Allan was our buyer-side realtor on a transaction over the summer of 2023. He was very nice and professional, and he responded to our calls and texts in a timely manner. But overall we did not think he had a grasp of the market in Northwest Austin. He was hesitant to make the asks (small asks in the grand scheme of things) to the seller that we requested. It was as if he was protecting the seller and not us, coming up with excuses and reasons for us not to improve our outcome. It felt like he just wanted the deal to close. I understand that realtors only make commissions when a deal closes, but towards the end it really felt like that was all he cared about. He did not pay much attention to our needs. We ended up paying way more than we should have for the home and I dont think Allan cared about us, just closing the deal.
