Dr. Mary C. Petropoulos, MD

No complaint about Dr. Petropoulos. However, her office is not ideal especially if your kid gets sick. My kid got sick once and I called her office during the weekday at around 2pm. The nurse said that I can schedule an appointment for tomorrow as doctor cant see my kid today. I ended up going to ER, which was not really required if the doctors office had given us the opportunity to walk-in or same day appointment. Overall, I think there is only one doctor and one nurse (I believe l) in the office. Therefore, very limited resources for care. The wait time also seems longer than the other pedestrians office we have been in the past. I have changed the primary doctor for my kid as I am not hopeful about getting any help if my kid gets sick again.

We LOVE Dr. Petropoulos! However, the wait times can be excruciating and the staff not always the best. Its not uncommon to wait 10-30 minutes before seeing her, and then another 10-30 minutes after your visit while waiting for vaccines. I was there today for an hour with my two little humans just to get flu shots (nurse only). It was hot. The nurse wasnt very familiar with how to work with kids who are terrified of needles. It was so miserable, were researching other Austin pediatricians because I cant ever do that hour again.

Dr. Petropolous is wonderful, she came to visit every day after my delivery. She's very thorough and answers all your questions without feeling like you're just a number and you can tell she genuinely cares about the well being of your child. Office staff is friendly and it's a smaller office environment. I've never had to wait past my appointment time.

Absolutely cares about her patients and takes the time to understand the issue(s) at hand. Very proactive in helping. Doesn't rush us out of the patient room like some other places I've been too where it's just about numbers. I would highly recommend Dr. Petropoulos!
