Recently I took a young man who was new to Texas to Fry's to get car registered in Texas, we had all the documents required, the 2 women working there said he would have to have insurance in Texas before registering and refused to go any further- NOT TRUE! The DMV web site says the exact same thing, 2 weeks later, he was able to get all legal in Texas. I don't recommend this establishment at all, rude and not helpful. Go to the nearest Tax Office for reg. Thanks.

The lady who treated me from the beginning treated me badly, I went twice and the first time I went she told me that my car was not in good condition and the second time I came back and she didn't say anything to me, she charged me in a bad way as if I had asked her. I went and in the end he charged me 813 dollars and with a face wanting to do less to me... I'm not asking you for anything, ma'am, if you don't like your job, go find another one.

I try and avoid the tax office at all cost so I stopped by Fry to complete the registration on a new vehicle I purchased out of state. The lady told me I needed to have the original copy of the odometer disclosure statement and that a copy wouldn't work. I only had a copy of it. I left and promptly looked up the transportation code. Section 501.072 states that you only need to provide a disclosure statement. It doesn't say anything about having to provide the original copy. I then drove to the tax office to complete my registration there which I did without issue. What should have been a 10-20 minute visit to Fry turned into a 3 hour affair to complete my registration.
