More affordable than traditional health insurance, but a far cry from "easy to use". Very long wait times for reimbursement and subject to scrutiny to "prove" your need.

I've used Sedera for about a year. I've never had a share so I can't speak that that process, but the cost shopping feature of member services is pretty helpful. I do the Sedera + DPC option.

Ultimately I am very unhappy with the way my family was treated by sedera. My familys healthcare coverage ended when I graduated residency this past summer, and as a DPC physician starting a new business from scratch I assumed sedera would be a safe and obviously a more affordable option for myself and my young family to be covered. But right at the end of residency my 2 month old daughter got a UTI, and 6 months later when it was determined she would need a urological surgery to diagnose and correct a problem with her left ureter, sedera declined to cover it, claiming it was due to a pre-existing condition. At the end of the day they are no different than traditional insurance: they will find a way not to pay for what you really need, even if its to save the kidney of an infant. Even if that infants father is a physician and a potential referral source. Disgraceful. Shameful.

I seriously needed this coverage. We joined on a family plan of 5. I could NOT for the life of me get anyone to assist me with how to process my receipts etc. it was bizarre. The communication was zero after several attempts by phone and email for any simple instruction. I was so disappointed. My cardiologist recommended them to me too. We dropped Seders due to their lack of commitment and so am now once again without coverage which I so desperately need.
