We are a membership community dedicated to helping each other remain at home as we age.  We have educational, social, and special interest groups to encourage engagement among seniors across Austin.  Capital City Village (CCV) welcomes seniors of all kinds for its purpose of supporting aging in place.  Members pay dues, but we underwrite the costs for those who want to belong but haven't the means.  We have scheduled monthly happy hours and coffee meetings, book clubs, domino groups, mindfulness and Yoga practices, bridge days, and whatever you can imagine. This year, we've studied American foreign policy in the Mid-East, visited Austin's main library by bus, met with a number of local celebrities in an intimate setting at Mort Subite on Congress Avenue, and read a lot of books.

About
Capital City Village

Capital City Village is an Austin-based nonprofit dedicated to helping seniors stay in their homes and communities for as long as possible, a concept called aging in place and community. We achieve this mission through volunteers, providers and programs.
The members and volunteers of Capital City Village, a "virtual" village, have joined together in pursuit of a common goal: to live safely and comfortably in our own homes and communities while remaining healthy and active.

Whatever you need to live independently, Capital City Village is here for you. Give your children and relatives peace of mind and join today, even if you dont need it yet. Think of it as an insurance policy for your future, even if that future comes suddenly, in the form of a broken arm or unforeseen surgery. CCV will be here to drive you to the grocery store or doctors appointment when you cant do it yourself. Even if you just need someone to talk to, we are here for you. Join us at an event to learn more and get to know us!
