We've taken our various phones, pads, etc to these people for years & they have always done a superb job with a price that we can afford.  They are courteous & take time to answer my somewhat stupid questions with a great deal of patience.  We now live near Lampasas but we are happy to drive 53 miles each way to have them work on our equipment. We definitely recommend them them.

Cell Phone Reoair Web site says "we have access to genuine Apple parts."  It even provides a link to an Apple app that allows you to enter any repair service and it will verify if they can get authorized Apple repair parts.  I checked with the Apple app and it verified this company "had access to order genuine parts."So I figured that meant he used Apple genuine parts.  He quoted me a price that is $150 less that Apple wanted to replace the broken screen. The repair was done within 2 hours and the phone works great and I saved a lot of money.HOWEVER, if you have an iPhone 11 or higher (I have a 12 pro max), Apple PERMANENTLY marks your settings to say you have used UNAUTHORIZED parts in the iPhone.  I contacted Apple and they said it's to protect future buyers if you decide to sell your phone.  They also told me it will disqualify your phone for a trade-in if you want to upgrade later. The advertisement on the web site along with providing that Apple check tool is very deceptive.  When I asked for a quote in person he never said the price was for a generic part that would affect the future value of my iPhone. He did require me to sign a paper "authorizing him to work on the phone" he said.  The warning may have been hidden somewhere in the agreement and if he had called my attention to it I might have made a different choice.I find this to be very close to deceptive practice.   Now I have that warning in my phone forever according to Apple, which is very annoying to me.  It does not go away in a few days (at least not on the iPhone 12) as it said on the receipt he emailed me a few days later. So, you can save some money if he uses counterfeit parts, but not on OEM parts and it will void your iPhone warranty, plus your phone will be marked for life.  I feel a customer should be told about those repercussions when quoted the repair price.
