Life Ki-do Austin Martial Arts Dojo

Updating my review. Its been months and my kid has had so many challenges and this program has given him the best experiences he has had. It is truly therapeutic for kids. Run to put all of your children in these programs. I am so grateful to this community for what it has done for our family. The senseis are the most thoughtful magical child whisperers. This program is fabulous and the business is run with integrity and heart. This is especially great for kids who have special needs perhaps in addition to occupational therapy

Life Ki-do is such a special place. Our kids are learning martial arts, but they're equally learning life skills, how to breathe, and regulate their emotions. We've taken classes over the years from all of the teachers and they're all wonderful. Highly recommend!

My older son has been attending classes at Life Kido for 1.5 years. We have seen so much grown and improved coordination, and we love Sensei Deven. We also just threw my younger son's birthday party at the Westlake location. The ninja obstacle course was unique and so much fun for the kids. The location near Austin's Pizza was perfect, and I can honestly say it was the most stress-free party I've thrown. Highly recommend for classes or birthday parties!

What a pleasant surprise we received when we put our two boys, 5 and 7, into these classes. Who knew they would delve so deeply into skills that go well beyond the mat? They address things like learning to keep themselves centered, in control, and the differences between outer and. inner strength. Senseis Jonathan and Doug have a way with the kids that resonates, even when they want to be wild. There isn't much more to say other than that this dojo is amazing and truly offers the perfect balance of fun, life lessons, technical skills and professionalism. So glad we found them. I can easily see our boys in these classes for years to come!

My kids have been going to classes here since they were 4 years old and they are teenagers now! I always joked to my friends that they got so much out of it but I got even more. I called it my Parenting Therapy. Watching the instructors work with the kids is magic and helped me so much while figuring out how to be a parent. They are mindful and confident without being aggressive, and so are my kids. I dont honestly know how theyd do in a real fight because theyve never been in one! Isnt that the point? Im so thankful for Life Ki-do and cant believe it took me this long to leave a review!
