We paid over %50 down for the design and the project was delayed by our HOA. When we got the All-clear to begin, Solscapers delayed 2 weeks, and then 2, weeks, and then 2 weeks. Never got the $ returned to us and now the company is defunct! Extremely disappointed and angry at this point. :-( Service: Custom landscape design

We really wish we could share the same sentiment as the previous reviewers in regards to SolScapers communication, but that is not the case. We feel our kindness and trying to see the benefit of the doubt in situations has turned into being taken advantage of and possibly losing out on thousands of dollars. Communication and follow up was great until the deposit was given in mid March. I'm so thankful now that I was able to talk them down to 55% deposit instead of the required 65%. After giving the deposit I sent multiple emails just to get any type of follow up on our project. We were supposed to get our project started the first week of May but never heard from the company about delays, issues, ANYTHING when that time came. I had to follow up by email 4 times over the course of 2.5 weeks before finally being told that they were 2.5 weeks out from our project. We waited patiently an additional 6 weeks after that email for follow ups, updates, info, anything from them on our project. Nothing... All we wanted was updates as we were not in any rush to get this project done. If Brian communicated to us regularly on what was going on we would have been understanding, but instead we got silence. Due to all these issues we cancelled the project July 1st, asking for our deposit back. On July 14th I finally got a response that a full refund will be provided by the end of the month. You can guess how that turned out. Now he is telling us he doesn't have our deposit, which to me is a big red flag about the status of this company, as the deposit was only a couple thousand dollars. We would like to avoid legal action, but unfortunately that is on the table for possible consideration at this point.

Highly recommend!!! Throughout the process of our landscape renovation Brian and his team at Solscapers were highly responsive and supportive, helping us to navigate the project scope and make key design decisions. The project took about two weeks and the installation team was easy to work with and very receptive to any concerns or changes that needed to be addressed. We could not be more pleased with the final product and will not hesitate to work with Solscapers again on our next landscape project!

I see several negative reviews here and I'd like to say that I spoke with Brian (the owner) directly about our concerns. He explained the situation he'd gone through with a former business partner as well as trying to find competent employees who would show up on time, understood the scope of the work and would provide the quality he expected of them. Due to those issues, Brian is now a sole proprietor and you can tell in every interaction that he's putting everything he has into his business. He's polite, professional and his communication was great. Yes, he was delayed due to weather slowing a project before ours, but he communicated with us and let us know how long the delay would be and, when the time came, he showed up on time and got straight to work. If you're looking for a hard-working, dedicated and locally-owned business to deal with we cannot recommend Solscapers highly enough. Now on to the rest... My wife and I wanted to do some landscaping in the backyard and reached out to Solscapers and several others to get a quote. We had several no-shows and received a couple of quotes that were ridiculously high before speaking with Brian. He showed up on time, as promised, to see the area and put together a quote. The quote was very reasonable for the amount of work to be done and Brian was honest about his approximated start time. When the day came to do the work, Brian was again punctual and wasted no time getting to the task at hand. He had to rent some equipment for the job and made sure to get all of the time he needed out of the equipment prior to returning it. The topsoil he had delivered came in the afternoon and I honestly thought, "There's no way he's going to do all of that today," but he did. Brian is an absolute workhorse and he's committed to getting the job done in the time allotted. Day two came and, again, Brian was punctual. The mulch he had delivered was dropped off in the morning and he got straight to work moving it to the backyard. It turned out the company had delivered quite a bit more than what was required so Brian asked us where we'd like the rest to be located. *At no additional cost* he spent at least 2 more hours in the heat of afternoon using the additional mulch to give the entire front landscaping of our house a make-over / refresh. We're absolutely thrilled with the job he did, and the price was very fair for the work completed. We have another, even larger, job to do in the front yard this Fall and we will absolutely be using Brian at Solscapers for that job as well. Services: Garden landscaping, Backyard landscaping
