I spoke to Brittany who was extremely rude and not helpful at all.

Extremely spotty and unreliable internet service. We were paying for 300mbps but could barely breach 100mbps even when standing right next to the router. Tried with multiple devices and still the same result. It was like this from day one since we got it and have had it about half a year. Worse yet, is that the service would go down multiple times a week and take nearly an hour to come back at a limited capacity. We just recently switched to another provider and are receiving the download speeds we're paying for. Do not choose Astound if you work from home, do school from home, or need reliable internet. Quite sad to see as we were very happy with Grande while we were living in San Marcos.

Edit 3: been a customer for nearly 2 years, same garbage service and customer experience the whole time. Youd probably expect the ethernet ports on the device youre forced to rent from them to work, but they wont! And then youll go try to get support to attempt getting a replacement device, but nobody answers via chat or phone. Why the hell am i paying for equipment at all when it doesnt have working ethernet portsbasic functionality. At least let customers bring their own devices instead of forcing them to rent your old garbage that has been paid for ten times over. Still dont know why an ISP would require a tech to come install the router when the service is already connected to the building. Wouldve taken me 5 minutes to set up my own router, but instead the process took weeks
Edit 2: after speaking to 4 different agents, policy requires any payments made via bank account to clear 5 days before service install even though that is completely illogical and never stated anywhere during sign up or via phone when i called in to make the payment. It took me so long to get an appointment in the first place, and now i have to wait another week because of something that is not my fault. I was told if i paid via credit card that it wouldve been fine, but oops no going back now! No way for me to get my original appointment back. This company SUCKS.
Editing to add: my appointment was now pushed back an entire week due to some sort of protocol that they just made up on the spot. I paid my deposit and everything was set to be installed tomorrow until i just got an email stating service install was rescheduled. Someone needs to contact me ASAP. The email Jackie gave does not exist.
1) what kind of ISP charges a deposit for equipment install when the lines already exist (literally just need to plug in the equipment)
2) how am I supposed to pay said deposit when nobody will answer the phone?
3) why does it take 2 weeks for someone to come plug in equipment that i could set up in 5 minutes?
Havent even gotten my internet installed yet and im already having a terrible time. If i could choose another provider i would, but i cant.

As soon as astound took over grande they started charging my account "one time" fees. Ive always used autopay with Grande for 5years and never had an issue. Astound has some fraudulent tactics to get your credit card to decline and rack up a bunch of charges against your account. They some how are magically able to charge your card after they rack up the extra erroneous charges. Don't use them.
