It's a great place to work you go out almost every day, if u don't then you are first priority to go out the next day. I love my boss n her co workers. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with/for.

I've utilized the services of HireQuest sporadically over a year period. Due to the environments of the day labor services I strive not to spend too much of a time stretch at either one. At most 2-3 weeks straight. I don't look at either of these services as jobs, and so I don't treat them as jobs. HireQuest is no different than other temp service who mainly provide unskilled labor to the construction industry. The demographics of people who walk through the front door are the same, and the companies who hire tend to deal with many temp services. The main issue I see with HireQuest on the customer end is that all of the companies who hire temp labor services understand the rules and policies concerning what constitutes unskilled and skilled labor. Heavy lifting also falls outside the scope of normal unskilled labor. There are pay differences in relation to unskilled labor & heavy lifting & skilled labor. The companies requesting labor understand the difference in pay. The other issue is insurance policies. Most of the temp agencies don't allow the temps to do certain tasks because, the agencies insurance don't cover such tasks if an accident was too take place. On quite a bit of occasions I've arrived to an assignment and the job assignment entails heavy lifting, and a few times I've run into what could constitute a skilled task. Yet the pay for the job assignment was normal unskilled pay. The issue which seems evident to me is that before a job ticket is made the customer calls in to the branch office, or the sales rep and they tell them they need workers to such and such. Even if they don't say what they would like the workers to do. My question is at what point does the sales rep or individual at the branch ask the requester the details of the assignment? This is important because HireQuest makes a percentage of each workers pay. So either the sales are not being carried out correctly. Or the customer is being billed correctly but for some reason the worker isn't receiving the pay they're supposed to. $1-$3 an hour may not seem like a lot, but in one day that's $8-$24 per worker in a day, and if this is done often it adds up. I used to be a night auditor for a hotel and I'm pretty knowledgeable about business on the back end, and so I'm fairly good with numbers and accounting. Labor equals pay to me, and skill equal pay scale, and so I'm very conscious of this when it involves myself, as should the next person. I don't see any of these services as being better than the next because, I see them as temporary situations for one to utilize and move on from. I believe with the expansion of the gig worker and 1099 independent contractor space workers and employers are moving to an environment which is going to be beneficial for both. In the long run companies will not be utilizing temp services, or gig worker platforms. This is especially so in the unskilled/semi-skilled worker space. They will have a team of employees, and then also onboard 1099 independent contractors themselves to work when availability permits. #theroneshellman #theroneshellmanmedia #googlereviews #theroneshellmanmediareviews
