Dr. Martin Denbar

I have been a patient of Dr. Martin Denbar's office for about 10 years. He and his staff have always been amazing. I've recently moved to a bordering state and willingly travel to see Dr. Denbar. His knowledge and skill have made such a difference in my sleep and quality of life.

I had surgery from Dr Slaughter to correct my moderate sleep apnea. It was downgraded to mild which was a great step. I've now been working w Dr Denbar now to get rid of my mild apnea. The combination sleep therapy is a life changer. I can finally stay awake in movie theaters and I wake up refreshed for literally the first time in my life. Awesome.

I'm really disappointed with how they handled patient relations. Getting the device was not hard but I needed mine altered and they charge $150 per alteration. They refused to submit the claim to the insurance and demanded I pay it. Then they cancelled me as a patient because I said I wanted them to submit it. My insurance does cover the repairs so I think they should have at least made the effort. But instead they just lost a customer. I really hope they reflect on how they handled this and make some changes because this type of sleep apnea therapy can work and is hard to find.Also, the few times I had to talk to them over the phone the staff was short and not very friendly. I've located another provider that includes the alterations and they are very customer friendly so I would recommend that to anyone looking for this oral appliance.

Fleeced by him twice--shame on me!   for tinker toy sleep apnea oral appliance that fell apart in few months.  Following one return visit for adjustment, was insulted when he said " I was the kind that would call for a Sunday adjustment", and then he charged me another $3000 for the new appliance without a quote in advance.  Paid out of pocket more than $6000.  Total beware.

Dr. Denbar is exceptional.  Very knowledgeable and is a leader in the use of oral devices to treat sleep apnea.  I've recommended him to multiple family members and friends.  Each time I talk with him, I am confident he is an expert and provides outstanding medical care and sound advice.  He is very straightforward and tells you exactly what is on his mind.  So, be prepared for him to be direct and honest...attributes that I think are important.  I recently had a situation in which a periodontist wanted to perform surgery on my jaw and it did not make sense to me.  I called Dr. Denbar.  He said, "Absolutely not!"  then explained the reasons for his advice.  Made so much more sense than what the periodontist had told me.  I am so glad I could turn to him.  I felt like he really was interested in my well being.  Also, Dr. Denbar's staff members are professional and courteous.  You will get the best possible care from everyone here.
