5 gold stars are not enough. Dr. Cami and her office are the navy seals of dentistry.

I really wanted to like this place as I loved the idea of a holistic approach to dental - the 2 stars is because the bugs we saw on the microscope were cool. But this place missed the mark on so many levels. First- the front desk completely messed up our appointment times, I specifically asked for both kids at the same time to avoid a 2+ hour dentist appointment. When we got there she had them back to back I ended up having to cancel the other kid because of the experience we had. Second- it's VERY far from kid friendly. The hygienist had ZERO clue how to handled a child in the chair, her expectations of what she wanted him to do were so far beyond comprehension I couldn't believe my eyes. She got visibly frustrated with him a few times on "pictures". Then Dr. Cami came in, and told me he has 2 cavities, I hesitantly agreed to xrays because she was SO convinced. Well, after the nearly 1 hour cleaning, we got him in the chair again for xrays. First location the machine was "broken" so we moved to the other room where they literally did not have pieces small enough to take xrays for his mouth. That alone tells me they do not regularly see kids. Dr. Cami resumed to speak down to me in the open, public hallway about how he has 2 cavities and it's likely his diet. There was "nothing she could do" as a preventative measure and the next step would be a filling and she could refer me to a nutritionist. I was visibly flustered because she was soo convinced it was a cavity...and accusing a crunchy mom about nutrition hits hard. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She didn't even ask how my family eats (FYI we have zero refined sugar, and only eat organic and pasture raised meats). Well, today we go to a kid friendly dentist and get xrays. Zero concern for any cavities, one "watch" area but spoke how he was being very conservative and would absolutely not fill anything. Still in shock about this whole experience. I feel like she probably had good intentions but really traumatized by this.
