Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Austin

I've had an awful experience with thriveworks as a business, the therapist I saw was okay. Thriveworks has on 3 occasions erroneously charged my card for hundreds of dollars with out so much as bill, and then take ages to refund. This last time they had ignored my and the therapist's emails for so long we called the bank to reverse the charge. To make matters worse I haven't even seen a therapist through them since February. I've been told by the therapist that this has happened to several of their other clients.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I can not comment on the counselors, as I am not even to that stage. First, I tried to setup membership and appointments for my two sons. This took over an hour on a call and we finally had two appointments set. Unfortunately, this was setup incorrectly, and I was not able to fill out forms for both because they needed multiple email addresses. Keep in mind, I am the parent and these are underage children. Second, after we got beyond the setup hurdle (which was another hour), it was 20 hours before the first appointment and still no link for the session. I call again, and they go through all the information and confirm I filled out consent forms and paid (oh yes, the payment went through with no issue - they have that down). After many standbys, I was told they needed the reach out and have the therapist send another link (no original link was sent - not in spam or anywhere else). I noted my son's appointment had disappears and the service person said she had to do it to get him back in the system, which made no sense, but it would be fine. Call ends. Third, I find that my son's appointment is still not reinstated, so I have to call again, only to be told it was canceled. At first they asked if I canceled, then they admitted it was an accident, which they could not easily correct. Many holds later, I am told I will get a call before the end of the day and they refuse to help me further. There were a couple other calls that went nowhere and after nearly 4hrs I am dissatisfied and my children have not been helped. Such a terrible experience.

I would highly recommend the therapist Bert (Bo) Majors. He's very easy to talk to. And I like that he shares personal experiences and stories that relate to issues I have.

Terrible experience, I was really looking for talk therapy and help with some issues I am dealing with. I was referred a clinician by a friend and schedule to see that person three times and the therapist cancelled all three times even when my friend had referred her personally. I am so disappointed on how very difficult it is to get help. The therapist did not even call or email me, I found out when she just did not show. Imagine having alot built up inside and waiting 2 days, and no show..... 3 more days ... no show..... 7 days .... no show. I am very dissatisfied with this practice. If you need help DO NOT COME HERE!!

Tzvi has a very calm presence, and is easy to talk to. His nonjudgmental stance is very apparent, as is his therapeutic knowledge!
