Groves South Lamar Apartments

I've enjoyed my two years at Groves. Although I never had a concern with the previous management as mentioned in other comments, I know I do like the current management team. Great location near coffee shops, a local grocer, Target, and quick access to several highways. Check out the amenities showcased by the property website. If you're a dog owner the property has great opportunities for a happy pet. The construction of my unit is solid. Although my unit overlooks Lamar Street, the quality of the windows and balcony doors insulate my unit from most of the standard street noise. Check it out. I've renewed my lease twice.

Are you able to go back to the same apartment if you had lease violations that was not your fault and the money you owe never went to collections?

Ill admit, the apartment building itself is very clean and nice. I even got a unit with a yard for my dog and things were great - at first. Then my car got broken into, then my boyfriends car got broken into, then I heard bad story after bad story from others that lives there. A drunk man wandering the halls trying to get into apartments, a person LIVING in our dog wash room The office never even addressed these situations, I only heard about them from other residents. I felt very unsafe towards the end of my time living at this apartment and moved out ASAP. I wouldnt reccomend this to anyone, unless they do some major security upgrades.

I've lived here for over 3 years and have loved it. Location is great, there's plenty of parking, the units themselves are nice. The maintenance staff quickly addresses any work orders. The leasing staff is very nice and helpful. Everything about this place is great! One downside is that the fire alarms tend to have problems and will sometimes go off in the middle night which is absolutely awful but management has really made an effort to resolve these issues.
