I've used Crossroads for two pets now, and they've been professional, willing to help and understanding about my concerns and have always been straightforward about what is best for the animal to me and what are good but not must-haves. I strongly recommend them.

I've taken some time to review this clinic as my last experience was so below par. Initially, I took my pup to see Dr. Raphael (highly recommend her) when she was diagnosed with bladder cancer. The kindness of the staff and the doctor helped me understand something super hard to process and make a move on. So when I got my new pup I thought it was a no-brainer taking her here. After a few visits, I decided to take her back to the basic PCP of Banfield as I just couldn't afford her routine visits here and often I found that staff wasn't very proactive in telling me what she needed unless it was a pill or a shot - super weird. They do offer an annual doctor visit that will cover your visits with the doctor for the whole year, which is great. Either way, I parted ways with no bad feelings and knew I could use them as a good go-to for truly serious issues since they helped me with my last dog. Flash forward to my most recent experience.I referred them to my roommate when she learned her dog had osteosarcoma in her bones and either her leg needed to be amputated or she needed to be put down. The office got us in quick and since I referred her the visit was free. We met with Dr. Daugette and she heard the heart of my roommate and her major concern for her dog. The vet provided resources for amputation of the leg and helped us see how this difficult thing could be fixed without having to put her down. So she scheduled the appointment and brought her in a few days later to have the leg removed. The pup was dropped off for surgery and the vet called my roommate to tell how it went later that day and what time her dog was available to be picked up. She said that she would call my roommate a little later to walk through post-op care, but sadly never did. When we went to pick up her dog, she was in great distress. She was crying so loudly we could hear her from the front waiting room. Now, she was a vocal dog throughout this whole time of pre-op and the previous visits so we all though maybe she just had a lot to say since her leg had been taken off. Sadly, what we didn't know was she was in a lot, lot of pain. My roommate was given some post-op care, but nothing really to prepare her for what would come next. After four hours of being home and the pup not relenting in her cries (or medication provided working to cut her pain), my roommate had no choice but to take her to an emergency vet since Crossroads was closed. We were given no way of talking to Dr. Daugette, and the clinic's VM said the only option after hours was a emergency vet. Once she got to the emergency vet we learned there are two ways to approach an limb amputation: keep over night for IV fluids/high pain meds or send home with comparable pain meds. We were not informed of what to look for outside of infection or a fever in the pet. We had no idea the amount of pain this dog was in until it was upon us with no options but to spend more money at an emergency vet. The ER vet told us that the sutures and work looked great, which was a relief because at that point (as panic was setting in) she was afraid that this was a very bad move. We were told the pain meds the dog was on were not enough to cut the pain she was feeling and they recommended keeping her for about 12 hours on IVs and pain meds. As soon as they administered some pain meds that were strong enough the pup stopped her cries and was able to lay still without panting or being restless. It was clear in that moment how much pain she was in and how little prepared we were for at home care just 4 hours after having a leg removed. My roommate later had a call with the vet and was able to explain her frustrations and thankfully was heard, but by that point there wasn't anything to be done other than just being heard. She spent at least another $1k with the emergency vet and thank God she could spend that money because had she not been prepared for that I don't know what would have happened to this dog in serious pain. I cannot recommend this vet as their protocols and processes are unclear and it seems it's really hard to get them to call you back when they say they will. It wasn't until she was really upset and said so on the phone that she got a call back. Funny enough, they didn't call her to schedule an appointment to remove the stitches OR to tell her what the lab found from when they sent off the leg FOUR WEEKS ago. She had to call today to even get that. We're human so mistakes and missteps happen, but this appears to be a consistent thing and with a major surgery (something you really hope will be taken with the upmost care) support and follow through is grossly lacking.
