Ive had this Eye Doctor for years and today I went in for my appointment and chose not to buy glasses there. Thats my right. All because The last four or five pairs I have purchased their the lenses have fallen out or screws dont stay on and my last prescription was incorrect but they did but correct it. I started shopping at Americas best for glasses and frames. Never had an issue with the glasses or frames. I was given my every day prescription today, but was not allowed to have my computer glasses prescription. Im being forced to purchase the glasses where I do not wish to purchase them at Accent. I was told he is not obligated to give me my computer glass prescription only my everyday. Not to mention, he has a new staff of young girls that are very rude and obnoxious over my questions regarding why I cannot have my prescription computer glasses. Then the young lady decides to hang up on me telling me Im rude because she wont let me finish my sentence. Its a shame that after so many years of my family going to this Eye Doctor that now I choose no longer to go there mostly because of the staff today and the fact that I cannot have my computer glass prescription and I have to go and pay out-of-pocket for a new prescription for my computer glasses. No one should ever be forced to purchase any eyewear from anyone or hold a prescription your pay for with your insurance. Those rude inappropriate little girls need to learn to talk to people and not take questions as a personal attack. No thank you

Accent Eyecare has been my familys vision service provider for years. It is now time to find a new provider as their front office staff and manager are very unprofessional!!! I do not want to deal with them anymore and their lack of customer service. From the reviews, seems to be a very common issue with many patients

I ordered a new pair of glasses for my daughter Saturday 2/10/24 I paid 149 upfront cool. Today 2/12/24 I get a call saying they werent transitions and I had to pay an addtl $135 to get them which is crazy cause I ordered a replacement which would have been that, so I then asked what about her insurance they then told me they no longer take premier vsp, which should have been communicated Saturday before taking my money and clearly not pulling her file. Long story short I called back to back to get a refund cause why would I buy glasses that are not her prescription. Nobody answered but plot twist I had her father call to request it and they told him a series of lie and he paid the difference what they wanted I was livid. I demanded he get the money back as I originally asked because they were terribly rude and unprofessional and handled me maliciously. They didnt refund him fine but I will never refer anyone here based on that and previous visits were they dont even pretend to be friendly with us or other African American clientele. I later had my friend call and ask if they took that same instance and the rep clearly said yes they do, and even went over appointment times. But I called and nobody answered by 10pus calls. I have referred others there and as of today o believe what they said as far as staff interaction. That hurt my feelings literally how rude.

Dr. Bashover and Ms. Stacey were extremely helpful and nice. The place is super clean and would definitely come back for all my eye needs.

The prescription you have a copy of is the same prescription which all Optometrists write, which is mandated to release and which we are contracted by your insurer to determine, specifying lens power for far away (10 feet and beyond) and close in vision (40 cm). Any optician can use this information to determine a computer use eyewear, something they almost all routinely do. One of the services which we excel at, at Accent Eyecare, is explaining and providing specialized computer eyewear which I do in concert with my trained Opticians as part of the eyewear delivery for my patients who obtain their computer eyewear from us. Alternatively, you can ask any other Optician to provide you with a pair of computer spectacles, but it will not work as well as if we do so (I have seen many other so called computer spectacles from other offices and they never work as well for the patient, giving much more limited ranges of vision). I wish you well with your future vision needs.

I am sorry about the misunderstanding. On 02/10/2024 we explained that we are no longer a provider of the insurance you had previously used but that we could provide a basic replacement for the last broken glasses in her prescription for $135, which you paid for and which we ordered. Mr. Roberts-Jeffries called us back the next day to order and pay for the transitions lenses, a lens option which the insurance had partially covered in the past. We have since refunded the fee which he paid for this. We are not currently a Medicaid or Superior Vision Plan provider and we explain this clearly to all of our clients.Sincerely,Dr. Matthew Bashover
