In January 1986, my wife and I conceived a child. We had tried for 6 yrs but were unsuccessful. In 34 yrs of marriage, this was the only child we conceived. Dr Kallum noticed my wife had an incompetent cervix and strongly recommended a cerclage to sew it up to keep the baby inside the womb longer. Miraculously it worked, and our daughter was born at the 34 week mark at 4 lbs 4 oz.
