Sunshine Productions Modeling Agency and it's owner Norm Sunshine is top notch in the industry. From the moment I had first contact with them, each person was absolutely a pleasure to speak to. I was introduced to Steve first, followed by Wendy and then a very welcomed call from Norm the owner. Each staff member took incredible care and educated me on the industry's ins and outs and lead me thru the process of training and building my portfolio. They also have incredible follow-up with any questions I have had. This company truly has integrity in the way they deal with their clients and their models. Renee the photography who they recommended to me was absolutely fantastic to shoot with and train with. I feel incredibly grateful to have the privilege to be represented by Sunshine Productions and look forward to working with them and their clients for years to come. Thanks so much, Laurie. I love these kind of reviews, as they give a bit of a flavor of how our company (and industry) works. There was a great TV show on about 10 years ago called "The Profit" starring the founder of Camping World, Marcus Lemonis. He would be brought in to fix struggling companies, and put them on the right path for success. He preached the philosophy of the "3 P's", which are People, Process, and Product. His belief (and mine) is that you have to have the right people in place in your company, or nothing else you do matters. Once you have a great staff (and ours has mostly been intact for approaching 30 years), you have to focus on Process. Making sure that everything runs like a Swiss watch, and thanks to brilliant minds like Wendy, Dana and Steve (and Mark, our Tech guru), our process is consistent and successful. Finally, you have to have a product that customers want, which in our case, is trained, attractive, professional models. This is where we shine, and where people like you come in. From the first time that you spoke with Steve he was so impressed, as was Wendy. When you and I connected, it felt just like that, a connection. I was really impressed with you as a person, you have a great, youthful look, and a spirited personality. Coupling that with a drive to be your best, and commitment to doing what it takes to make the most of your attributes made you a welcome addition to our agency. Any client looking for a "woman of a certain age" would certainly be fortunate to have the opportunity to work with you and we are looking forward to representing you to our clients. This is going to be a long story so here we go. I have signed up with Studio1 to take pictures of me and have a portfolio. I really thought that I made a good decision at the time. The ladies were letting me know to apply for open calls, auditions, and other agencies. At first, I was eager to see who would respond to me but from the conversations Ive had with these folks, I became discouraged. I paid LOTS of money and I was still putting in more work than who I signed up with. Long story short, I had a phone call from Sunshine Productions and the gentleman on the phone told me there were no more open calls available but he wanted me to go ahead and submit my photos with a specific headline. As soon as I did and notified him, he was impressed that he told the whole team about me. Then I talked to an awesome lady that informed me that the pictures I had in my portfolio wouldnt work but want me to have a portfolio with Sunshine and let me know all the details including the cost. Trust and believe, the cost was WAY AFFORDABLE and FAIR. She told the owner how polite and charming I am and he had to find out for himself. Norm called me and we had a really good conversation. I couldnt believe that I was talking to the owner. I felt honored! Furthermore, I went to the studio in Texas to have my pictures taken by a lovely talented woman and those pictures turned out great. The owner called me again afterwards and stated that he likes the photos as well and is looking forward to doing business together. My heart dropped. Never have I been recognized like this before and with so many friendly and talented people. I recommend this agency to any model (male and female). Now my journey begins.

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Charles. We have had a LOT of models come to us from Studio One, more than one has told us that we were a referral from them. They mostly just take photos and help models prepare their own website, but our business model is to provide training (and photos if necessary) and post models on the website that clients find in order to hire models. We were not doing open call at the time you reached out, but Steve really liked your look, sort of a young Jamal Mashburn (senior, not junior) vibe, great smile, muscular physique and very articulate. Wendy enjoyed speaking with you, and the notes that I had from your photo/training session were as good as the images - very versatile, with a lot of variety of mood and expression. Combining that with your humble and articulate (not to mention fun) personality, we thought you could be a good fit in our industry. I appreciate you mentioning our affordable and fair pricing, we have price points to fit every budget, always work within comfortable parameters for the models, and never push models to spend more for training or a portfolio than they can afford. I think that any client who is looking for a model in your demographic would be impressed, and enjoy the way you conduct yourself. I recently became a model as I was told it was something I should look into. I didn't think much of it but I thought it may generate some fun and would allow me the opportunity to make a positive impact for my self. From the moment I spoke with Norm and his team I felt right at home. Steve, Wendy, and Renee are all great people and make you feel like family. I feel like some of the negative reviews could be from individuals who did not get much work or attention from clients. With that said, this agency has been nothing but honest and transparent from the start. I think most of us here know nothing is guaranteed in this business. Its something that I accepted and was advised of on multiple occasions. I really enjoyed the process and the relationship I have made with these individuals. If nothing else comes from it, I can say I made some friends. To anyone looking into modeling, this is a great place. I looked at this as an opportunity to investment in my self and its a great feeling to know I have these individuals backing me up and on my side.

We don't see many guys over 30 with your level of commitment to fitness, and I think that if clients choose you to work with them they will be very impressed. A large part of my job is to temper expectations and make sure that models and parents have the full picture of what to expect. The reality of our industry is that clients will always choose who they want and agencies and models have to accept this, it's the same all over the world with virtually every talent or modeling agency. We can present this information repeatedly and sometimes it just doesn't get through due to the excitement of finally realizing a dream, but we all do our best to paint the full picture of what to expect from clients, and you laid that out beautifully.
