When I first starting working at Heartis it was a place I wanted to be apart of. There were smiles and laughter going on in every corner and smiles as big as you could see. Even with COVID-19 Heartis is still has its same flare that it is known for. Having a fun time no matter what it is going on in the world. Yes, we are having fun the way that bring the best out every obstacle. Also, they work as a team from the kitchen to housekeeping but not much from management. I love listen to every resident and hear about their families and stories they have to tell. They definitely could do better with their SPARK program. There are a lot of things that are not being done that bring the whole SPARK experience together.

Michelle Carter did an excellent job sharing Heartis, answering any questions, understanding my concerns of care for my Mom. Heartis is a warm environment, many opportunities for activities or privacy of having solitude in your room.

My dad was in Heartis and it was not a good experience. Critical medication was delivered late several days and call button was not answered on several occasions. Dad was bleeding profusely and no one came, dad called me in Colorado and I had to call the front desk several times before someone answered and they went to help him. I called to ask to speak to nurse for critical issue and no call back, I called her the next day and was told she was too busy for calls. This attitude is not acceptable. We have been waiting for refund check since dad died and no one will call me back on the status of it. I regret my decision that we ever put dad in this facility.
