Candlewyck Apartments

If you are thinking about moving into these apartmentsDO NOT! Hot water goes out at least once a month due to the fact that theres a shared boiler room for I believe 8 buildings that hold about 12 units a piece. This month in particular the hot water has gone out at least 3 times and they are trying to put blame on residents and threaten to fine $1,000 with a possibility of eviction if they find out whos causing this issue. Not only that, but I have talked to several residents whom live here and many of them have broken heaters in their units. Myself included. I had to go out to Walmart and buy a few space heaters just to stay somewhat warm during the colder months. There is also only one washer and dryer per building that usually are not operational. The few times that they have been working they leave your clothes with soap stains. I have made several complaints about this and they claimed that they were getting a bid for new washer and dryers but that has yet to happen in the year that ive been here. Its a hassle trying to lug off multiple laundry baskets across town to a laundromat. It wouldnt be so bad if there were hookups in unit but thats not an option either. There has been multiple occasions where packages of mine have not been delivered because the office is either closed down on the weekends or the UPS department cant get access to the mail box. Which is another inconvenience. I have tried to end my lease early due to these issues multiple times but they still want to try and charge you for the remaining months and dock you on your rental history. There is also very limited parking and my car has been hit twice already! Im not sure if thats because the spaces are really close together or if people just arent paying attention but Im still paying off my car so the last thing I want is for it to have dents and scratches. The last thing im going to mention is that the complex changed management without proper notice. They put out flyers on all doors the SAME day that new management would be taking over. Overall the worst experience ive ever had renting anywhere. I have tried to cut management some slack because I know its hard to try and please everyone, however this is getting ridiculous. Save your money and move somewhere that is more comfortable.

I was a resident for 2.5 years and loved it! It was my first apartment so Ill always carry the memories with me. Sadly had to leave because I couldnt afford it anymore but if I could go back I totally would.

I enjoy living here at candlewick! Very friendly residents and nice remodeled units its perfect for me and my son. Destiny the manager was was very helpful and amazing from touring to applying and getting a beautiful home.
