I travel 8 times a year to Dallas for business and this is my favorite place to stay. Alicia the bartender is amazing and is always the MVP of my visit. She goes above and beyond and I would definitely hire her if I didn't live 1000 miles away.

Overall good experience in this hotel. I stayed for the solar eclipse in April 2024 and the hotel gave out free "glasses" to stare at the sun. The staff was generally very kind. The rooms are comfortable in size and clean. There is a big gym and an outdoor pool. Daily conveniences like restaurants, pharmacies or groceries can be found around the hotel in walking distance on the main road, where the hotel is based on.
Walkability: Restaurants, Walgreens and grocery stores in walking distance.

Worst Renaissance I've ever stayed at. Total dump.
During my most recent stay, I had one of the rooms with the door that adjoins adjacent rooms. This door seemed to amplify sounds from the room next door, as I could hear every sound from the other guest, including his TV (which seemed to be on at low volume), conversations, and his continuous coughing/hacking all night. Absolutely no sound dampening between rooms, which infringes on my - and potentially other guest's - privacy.
The room was also generally a dump, with worn or damaged fixtures that made it feel like a Motel 6. The toilet leaked, so I was continuously greeted with water running on and off throughout the night. The clothing iron didn't work; at least they replaced it expeditiously.
Services were no better. I attempted to stop by the Starbucks in the lobby when I arrived in the afternoon only to learn that they close at 2pm. Next morning went back to the cafe for coffee/breakfast only to learn that they don't open till 7am. And when they finally opened, the place appeared picked through, with very limited selection of cold beverages or food.
My last stay was no better (a few weeks prior to the latest). When attempting to get cleaned up after a workout, I found that the soap dispenser in the shower was completely empty. Called the front desk and they acknowledged bringing more soap up shortly. Assuming they had, I didn't think about the matter again until the next morning when I was surprised to find that the soap dispenser was still empty. Over the duration of the entire stay, the shower never had soap.
For a Renaissance I'd expect more. This place is the worst. Do better.
