I have worked with them for a while and it's not been the best. I have a lot of words for this place. Like how they have sent me to Hospital's instead of talking me out of crisis because that's pretty much how they get paid, or expecting me to stay on meds that made me so so much worse. They had on an antipsychotic that made me lactate and told me not to worry about it, basically. I did drug counseling with them and when I told one of the counselors I had wanted to be apart of the psychiatrist field since elementary and was studying off handedly by reading peer-reviewed papers, library books, as well as several updated articles and the DSM-5 itself I was told that Google wasn't studying and laughed at. Imagine telling an Ex junkie with several diagnosed mental issues (including depressive episodes and suicidal idealization) that since they can't afford college at this moment in time their efforts are worthless and then laughing at me. Yikes- basically acting like a recovering addict wouldn't be a better drug counselor than someone who has just studied up on addiction and has absolutely no experience being there, they have some serious elitist ideology here and it messed me up for quite a while. I wanted to quit pursuing my dream career because of someone who was supposed to help me want to achieve my goals and steer me away from my unhealthy lifestyle. telling me my little bit of studying was nothing because they had actually been to college. How else was I supposed to start when I had no money? It's petty and elitist if you ask me but go off I guess. Just remember that they will tell you they "want what's best for you" while actively hurting your feelings and pushing things on you that you're not comfortable with.

I have dealt with this group of people for years and all i have ever gotten is be committed or offing myself because all they do is push meds but not the things that go with it .here take this pill for 2 weeks then they up it to higher and higher levels and they dont know whats the root of all problems mental health patients deal with , meds are not all that is needed they treat the kids better than the adults and they are creating the next generation of addicts

These people will lie straight over the phone, then straight to your face, they don't help the homeless, they don't do nothing but make you feel like the only option you have is blowing your own head off! This shows you just what the government is! What they are doing with the tax payers money! Look at the reviews, the community isn't happy with this place at all, yet you keep these people in jobs that that they have no business doing! Not too long ago there was a stand off inside do to a person that had a gun they were really needing help! Many others were inside with this person. It's a matter of time before a person is fed up ! They won't be talked down, they won't be able to calm down, they will be at their end because of all of you that work at this place! Then and only then will you guys wish you would have done something different,if you still here!

My experience with BHC has been very good. Although there has been a couple of minor hiccups, I have generally been treated with kindness, understanding, and compassion. My case worker, Monique, has been a God send. I can't say enough for her. I really haven't experienced any of the problems others are complaining about in these reviews. I have sat several times in the lobby waiting to be seen and observed personally a lot of people who think they are entitled. And it is all about them. Even when the staff tries to reason with them, many are unreasonable in return. My advice to others is to be kind and patient. If you are, then that is what you will receive in return. It is not a perfect world or a perfect system. But I do believe BHC strives to help those in need. They have helped me.
