Big Creek Winery Tasting Room

Me, my husband & friends experience was one of being unwelcome and an inconvenience to the shop owner/employee at the Wartrace,TN location. We were not extended Hello within earshot nor did the staff engage in conversation or ask us if we would like to try a tasting. After browsing for maybe 5mins in silence I told my husband I was done and we left. I messaged the owner and among the things she replied was that she said she was sorry I was having an unpleasant evening. My day and evening was going rather well until me and my party were treated so poorly. It was an hour before closing on a Friday night (01/05/2024) but there was time for a quick tasting. I have no interest in ever returning or tasting the wine.

Hours are not updated online. They close at 5pm. She locked the doors right as we were walking up to the door.

Visited in September with my husband and it was not a great experience. The woman serving us acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She barely spoke to us, and when we asked her questions, we got very quick short answers, not to mention a few that were condescending. No explaining about the wines or winery, just nothing. Both of us left there feeling like we weren't welcome. The wine was pretty good itself, so 2 stars for the overall experience. Update 12/7/23: their page popped up on my FB and I see that they are pleading to update their account to get rid of the bad reviews. So sad!

Love their wine! The store is always decorated very cute! Also like how they always try to make things a community event and include all the businesses around them!

Lydia was so helpful. The wine is quite nice; we bought several bottles to take home.
