Arnold Air Force Base Outdoor Recreation

This was our second stay at Arnold AFB FamCamp and we enjoyed it very much. The campground is wooded and the lake views are amazing. Cindy and Mike at Outdoor Rec were both very helpful and friendly.

My family and I had the best time staying at Crockett Cove. We plan on returning frequently.

3 stars because this is for all of outdoor Rec - but my review is specifically for the Cabin rentals. I would not recommend them for families with little kids. The bathrooms are not attached and are very very dirty. The cabins can be one room(one full bed and one bunk bed), two room (two bunks in a back room and a full bed in the front room), or a deluxe cabin which is supposedly supposed to have a kitchen not sure about a bathroom. The AC is in the back and will not reach the front room unless the door is open - which we didnt because of our kids sleeping in the back room. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. All the docks need to be either repaired or maintained. The volleyball court is filling with grass. There is a fire pit if you bring your own equipment for it. There are bear proof garbage cans which can be hard to open. It was $70 a night and honestly I would have paid $20 and no more for this experience.
