Ive experienced my share of orthopedic surgeries/doctors with ACL reconstruction, ankle tendon repair, and rotator cuff surgery. Having moved to TN three years ago I found myself searching for a new local orthopedic doctor - with my research I ended up in Dr. Greenbergs office. Hes EXCELLENT, yes all in caps. He just did surgery on my meniscus - I have an underlying blood clotting disorder and he made sure that was a priority in all aspects of my care - hes a thorough and skilled surgeon. I would highly recommend Dr. Greenberg to anyone who is looking.

Took over two weeks to even get ahold of anyone to set up an MRI. Torn rotator cuff and would not give any pain medicine and barley any tramadol. Didn't even recommend a sling for the arm to be kept in so the tear would not worsen. Terrible when you try to call get transferred about 5 times before anyone wants to help.

Dr Greenberg is probably one of the worst doctors Ive ever seen in my life! I had to see him today because I have been having hip pain for almost 6 months. He walked in the room was not friendly. It was like he was reading a script to me. Every time I tried to talk he cut me off and interrupted me. I never got a chance to fully explain to him how I feel because he looked at medicine Im on from my other doctor and he just had me all summed up. Told me either I can have injections in the bone, physical therapy or pretty much get over it because Im already on medicine with my Rheumatologist and he would never give me anything else and I was like Im not asking for any medicine Im already on those medicines I just want to make sure Im not going to have to have a hip replacement in a couple years or anything severe like that but he didnt care to answer my questions of concern. The only reason I went is because my rheumatologist wanted to know whats going on with my hips and he was just a terrible doctor. He walked out of the room when I was still talking Also, the lady that walked me in the room that works for him was rude. They make you put shorts on and its freezing in the room and I said do you have a sheet or something I can put over my legs and she said nope and closed the door. Worst place ever! Ill never go back. I have no idea how he has all these good reviews because hes the worst doctor. He doesnt even smile he just looks at you with his grumpy look on his face like he hates being there. Where, oh where, did these good reviews come from for him and did they see the same person I did?! Please find a different orthopedic!

I transferred from the TOA of Hendersonville because I moved closer to the Smyrna area. It was the biggest mistake ever!!! I did the pre-check for my appointment and arrived 20 minutes early to the 2:20p appointment. A couple arrived after I did with an appointment time of 2:30p and checked in, but was called to the back before me. I asked the desk person, how was that possible and she stated they were probably scheduled for x-rays and not the doctor. Once I was called to the back, that same couple was since by Dr. Greenberg (NOT FOR X-RAY)!! Fast forwarding the Dr. Robert Greenberg's interaction.....IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! He came in LATE. Then once in the room, he acted as if he didn't want to assist me as his patient. I told him that my knee was bothering me when dancing or during certain exercises or movement. This man spent the entire time telling me how he couldn't help me verses coming up with solutions to help me as his new patient. He kept saying there's nothing to be done long-term over and over again. I had to tell him multiple times, I'm not looking for long-term at the moment, just wanting relief now. He stated that I had injections and medications already and there was nothing more to be done....THAT was false. I've had one cortisone shot from my primary physician and never prescribed medications....He didn't ask probing questions or anything. I told him that I did research and saw that they're different types of injections and etc that can be done. Once I said that, then he offered to have me an injection, but at that point I no longer wanted to be seen by him. I told him don't do anything as he had done nothing the entire visit. He told me to stay put and someone would be with me....After wasting another 10 minutes of my time, I walked towards the checkout counter and his MA (which was lazy and not friendly to me) walked to me to give me printouts (which was bull****). I express my visit to the checkout person who apologized, but still charged me for this wasted visit.....DR. ROBERT GREENBERG provided me NO SERVICE!!! Please keep in mind, he reviews aren't too bad, but it's the lowest compared to the other doctors in that office. Beware and be sure to do your research on him.
